Clone a new clone. Wise?

I need some more plants, so I was thinking of cutting the top of the two 5 inch new clones about half way, then cloning them. (They are 8 days into veg and have good root growth inside the pots.) Is that a wise idea? I'm worried it might cause catastrophic results, like them getting stressed and dying. I can't clone the original plant it came from, its 5 weeks into flower already.

You can clone them, they'll be fine. You could also take a couple clones off the flowering plant. It will take a little longer to root, but it's possible to root a clone from a flowering plant...it will have to revert back to vegetative growth and look kinda funny as it makes the transition, but if you are able to get roots it will many times make a really branchy plant. I think some call this technique monster cropping.

I topped them now 2 days ago, the growth stopped on the tall clones from shock. But has resumed a lot of new growth, their growing. They seem to be making 1 leaf at a time, they are re-vegging, so I think there all gonna be "monstercropped" Waiting on the 2 new clones to root.
