Clearex flushing question...

I'm planning on flushing for ~ 10 days.

I know some people just flush with plain water, but I have some clearex on hand, so I figured it would help. My question is, should I use the clearex for a few days at the beginning of the flush then dump and refill with plain water, or use plain water for the first week and clearex the last few days?

Maybe I'm overthinking this and it won't make too much of a difference, but if anybody has specific advice on timing I'd love to hear it :):thank you:

I would use it for the first 2-4 days of the flush, then just switch to plain water for the remainder of the flush. I wouldn't use clearex at the end of your flush. I feel like RO water is best to finish the flush.

I agree use clearex and keep checking the reservoir when the ppm stops rising (plants releasing nutes) then switch to RO.

Cool thanks guys I'll report back and let ya know how it turns out :)

Side note: I have heard various things about how flushing affects the ash, such as white ash means it has been properly flushed.

Others say that the dry&cure is what affects the ash more...

Guess I will find out, I never really paid attention to it from my previous grows...

The bottle of clearex suggests that you flush HARD with clearex and then let them go 10-14 days on plain water.

(By hard they mean 80% runoff or better of clearex.)

Seems to work pretty well this way.

Still experimenting.
