Hi,
I'm back from a long sabbatical from growing and have got back into it in a small way ha. Last time I was part of this online community was on a forum called Overgrow. After having a look about I think I'll settle down and call ICMag my home.
I've been lurking about on the other current forums for inspiration for a couple of months now and am almost about to chop my first run with this little setup. It's super ghetto but I'm pretty pleased with how things are going, all things considered.
The Setup
Basically I got a flat pack night stand (bed side cabinet) from Argos for cheap and modded it to suit. Instead of running the 3 drawers I stuck the drawer fronts together. It still sort of looks like a nightstand until you take the front off . .
I lined the inside with mylar sheeting (stuck with blu tac for now shamefully). I fitted 5 bayonet light fittings to the left and right sides at the top and wired them all to 1 plug using some spare twin and earth cable annexed from an extension cable.
At the back and at the top I cut a 4" hole through which I fed some ducting for ventilation. This leads to the ground at the back of the cab and into a 4" Ruck fan. From this there is a short section of ducting into a carbon filter. Power for this goes through a 5 step fan speed controller I rigged up. There's also a little pc fan at lamp level that is wired to a phone charger to give some air movement in the cab.
