Cleaning my bong

So I smoked salvia out of my bong and even though I've washed it a couple times with water it still smells like the blueberry it was flavored with.

I plan on getting a magnetic scrubber and some formula 420 will this kill the nasty smell and get it (after a few sessions) smelling that wonderful smell?

I use that purple Biodegradable degreaser you get at the auto store, works great.

Rubbing alcohol and salt.
Medium amount of alcohol, add a bunch of salt and shake like a motha fucka drain and repeat. Rinse with hot water when glass is clean and you should be good to go.

Degreaser just sounds ugghh, not sure what formula 420 is but... hmm I'll do some research.

I just pulled out my bong and it makes me gag everytime I smell it. Grrr. Would rubbing alcohol work?


EDIT: just saw what was posted before this one, Ima try that (i was actually thinking along thoes lines. Would I be able to smoke out of it right away?

It will to some extent it depends on the consistency of the resin. I know degreaser sounds bad but the bio stuff rinses clean and leaves no scent.

A good rinse after the heavy alcohol salt scrub with some hot water, maybe a little dish soap sloshed then rinsed with hot water and your fine. Try it, alcohol in the medicine cabinet and salt in the pour dispenser in the kitchen. Liberal amounts of salt, the salt stays solid and acts like tiny sanders inside scrubbing all the resin away. Does not scratch the glass.

I Just did the basic salt / alcohol rinse and my bong looks great, just a little of that salvia smell left we shall see if I can mask it with a few bowls.

The alcohol is also great for cleaning up the hands after working in the grow, a handful of alcohol rubbed around in your hands and a paper towel and the sticky is gone along with the smell. Great when you have to go out after working with the plants.
I've also had someone mention adding a few grains of rice when the glass is real dirty and you need a little extra agitation.

I use rubbing alcohol and minute rice...works like a charm.

For me, boiling in dish detergent and saltwater, then drying in a warm but not hot oven has turned the goopiest globs of goop on glass into a brittle powder that's completely dislodged with a few taps.

I use 420 clean myself, it does wonders for your bong. After a nice cleanse with the 420 cleaner, your bong will be looking better than ever!

Cool. I have been wanting to know the ingredients of $10.00 a bottle 420 Cleaner for sometime now. I suspected rubbing alcohol and salt. Time to save me some money and smoke clean.

Really it doesn't get better than alcohol and salt...rock salt if you can get it or large chunks of sea salt..

for glass bowls, fill a ziplock with the alcohol and salt, drop in your bowl, close the ziplock and shake like a motherfucker for however long you want.

Rub down the outside with a paper towel with alcohol and youre all set.. allow to dry for a little while or blow through with a hair dryer
