cleaned my vents= positive pressure!!!!!

My tent has a 6 inch forced intake and a 12inch by 2inch passive intake. This setup was working just fine a few days ago but was a little dusty... So after cleaning the intakes i noticed that the tent had converted from negative pressure into positive pressure and now the room where the tent is reeks.... So i switched off the forced intake but to no avail the room still stinks and the sides of the tent are still puffing out... and my exhaust seems louder than it did a few days ago.

Should i cover some of the intake with tape to try and revert the tent back to negative pressure? Anyone got any other ideas?

Thanks

I have active intake and active exhaust on all of my tents. I use variacs on the intake fans to make sure there is slight negative pressure.

I'm actually not sure I understand your problem 100%. You have one fan actively pulling out of the tent right? If you switched off the active intake I'm not sure how it could still maintain positive pressure.

Yer mate i don't understand it either..... There's a 125cfm active exhaust fan hooked up to a carbon filter and the tents only 25cuft so i'm kinda stumped on how this has happened....

well first things first.. trouble shoot ur shit.. if its not wrokin like it should.. then close all the vents... turn on the exhaust.. and see if ur sides suck in at all.. if not ur exhaust may be not working .. or not workin as good.... once u got ur exhaust WORKING AND ur sides suckni in on the tent.. open up the intake vents. get in there and figure that shit out.. lol.

Are u sure u hooked it back up right? Also make sure u didn't leave something in the exhaust .you could have poked a hole in the venting tube.. Something isn't right .now u gotta play detective .smoke a bowl and break it down

Thanks BG, as soon as i wen't to tape up my vents i relised what i had done.... There's a box fan just inside my passive intake effectively turning it into an active intake..... Move the fan.....:tumbleweed:Problem solved
