Chunk D (deep chunk x sour diesel) stretch?

Quick question for those of you with experience with these strains or DC dominant strains. If I'm looking for the plants to finish at 3' or so, when should I flip? I was thinking 18" but I've had someone telling me DC dom strains only stretch 8" or so.

Their in 3 gallon containers, in soil, under a 600.

There's a grow here but nothing much about stretch,but from what I know a pure Chunk dont stretch much,and even in crosses it's too dominant,but with the Sour Diesel that are dominant itself,you should count on x2=double up,here's the link;https://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=176692&highlight=deep+chunk+sour+diesel

I appreciate the input. Ive looked at about every grow I could find but as you mentioned theres not much about stretch. My plants are looking extremely DC dominant, So if Im looking to end up around 36" I should flower at 18 then?? Or Im wondering if I should go closer to 2' to finish at 3?

Deep Chunk from the female side is going to pretty much dictate how things go, I'd veg them pretty damn big before flowering.

The male was a Sour D IBL? This will be a good test to see how dominant he is, cutting through DC from the male side doesn't sound easy from what I've read. YMMV.

I currently have a pair of Chunk-D Ladies in the box. I noticed they stretched about 6-8" in the first two weeks of flowering under a mix of 12 26w CfL's (6/6500k 6/2700k). They are just entering week 3 and have some nice buds forming, one is scrog one is sog. The sog stretched the most and I had to bend her over and tie her down. I will be updating pics in my album in the next few days.
