Ok well I was thinking about the idea of a outdoor scrog. I have nine serious chronic plants about a lil over a week old in cups outside now. I was then planning on putting them in an area 10 x 10 area with 3 feet between each plant and have a mix of black gold soil and some manure added to the soil and just letting them grow with the help of me watering and picking out the males etc. I've seen a few chronic grows but all of them indoors.
The chronic grows that were done scrog style seemed to yield alot more than the chronic grows that were just done normally. Take a look at this 1 plant, scrog, 1 lb chronic grow. http://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=12653&highlight=chronic+scrog
Another chronic scrog 11 plants not sure on total weight http://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=20477&page=4&pp=15
Normal Chronic grow 4 plants...dry weight 235 grams

6 plant chronic grow total weight 1 pound I believe.

Now I dont really think the lighting matters so I didnt put it because the sun is my light and im pretty sure thats stronger than most HID lights eh? So hopefully I could pull 1lb off each plant.
I've seen other scrog chronic grows that have gotten a pound plus off a few plants. So Im thinking chronics a good strain for scrog. Or do you think since I was growing outside and they can get as big as needed that I'd get more letting them grow normal tree style or scrog? Cause I was thinking still put the plants in the ground and when the get old enough to sex pick out the males then add a screen above the females?
Or would I need to add the screen earlier? Anyways though what would I do get some kind of wiring/fencing ten by ten and support it on the sides with wood or some kind of steaks and just train the plants like a scrog. Also would 3 feet apart for each plant be enough if all the 9 plants are in a 10 by 10 area. Of course some will be male so those will be picked and will 3 feet apart for each plant be enough if doing a scrog outside? So what do you think I should do? Basicaly I want to get the most weight out of my plants I can so please help. Thoughts? Comments? thank you.
