would you like to trade? nearly 80 F here today, with chances of violent thunderstorms and/or tornadoes in the area. we need rain, and i like thunderstorms, but riding out several tornadoes in Alabama over the years has been quite enough of that shit. exciting, but...😬

tornados can be seriously nasty, I know. Do you also get flodding where you live?

flooding is a problem on a few roads locally, but i live on top of a damned steep hill here. gotta have 4wd to get in or out of the neighborhood if it snows...actually, you CAN get out, stopping at the foot of the hill is tricky though. 😄

admit it, Cosmic! you're jealous because she got snow, and you got forest fires...😀

forest fires? Where?
I saw some on the news but I think that was in Italy because it hadn´t rained. Pretty unusual this time of year though.

Some people were saying that we haven´t had as much rain as usual lately but I guess the snow helps a little :)

got fires both locally in Washington Co. on Buffalo Mountain, and down in the area of the Great Smoky Mountains in the Wears Valley area. national weather service has classified western NC as a "high risk" for fires due to local lack of rain & high winds. all it takes is an inconsiderate bastard tossing his cigarette butt out the window. i think lots of them are arson though.

Nice pics. I missed it falling, until it got light. Really nice to see it settled though.

If I see it falling in the night, I select 'slow on, slow off' for the yard lighting. Take a hit and just watch. From the white cover you can see in the dark, to the full illumination that shows it falling. It's award worthy TV for smokers.

I agree! Yet more and more things seems like they aren't normal lately..

how true! Things have gone totally bonkers these past years. Brexit, Trump, Boris, a worldwide pandemic and worst of all another war on our european continent! :(

Wow, didn't realised you in Europe! Crazy to have snow that late, but I think I seen it a few times in the last 10-15 years. Funny shit is that lately its either almost no snow whole winter with some unexpected late snow sometimes, or full on blizzard everyday winter every few years. Fucked up weather systems.

yes, it´s the exact same thing over here. Just nuts. All thanks to climate change, I guess.
Snowfall where I now live is most unusual this time of year because we are not in a mountain region. Those part of europe are getting even more snow now.
Great for those who enjoy skiing I guess ;)

They have ski resorts in Scotland, though a reliance on fake snow keeps many of them in business these days. Northern England might see a week of snow, but I'm in the midlands where a day here and there is about it. It came down for half hour last night but had no chance of settling, except a car roof or two. It's just below freezing tonight, which is as cold as it's been all winter. Though our clocks are now in British Summertime.
