Choice of sativas

Hi!

for the coming first indoor seasons here in Germany, I am lucky to got a pack of ACE strains.
There's a 300-400 Watt led grow light for a 1m² tent and I have some 10 liter containers. The limit are 6 plants and the soil is self mixed.

Maybe you can help me with the choice? Which strains could I grow well together? How many to choose would be very interesting, too. 5-6 plants should be possible?

I do have some experience with bigger sativas, like the Malawi and SSH.

I marked my personal favorite strains for the first grow. But I hope to see your recommendations.

Panama Regular - 5 seeds
Nepal Jam Regular - 5 seeds

Zamaldelica Feminized - 1 seed
Killer A5 Haze Feminized - 1 seed
Golden Tiger Feminized - 5 seeds

Violetta Regular - 12 seeds
Super Malawi Haze Feminized- 5 seeds
Malawi Feminized - 3 seeds

Hi @Bujuu, for a 1m square tent, I would probably do those 3 fems you've marked in bold (2 GTiger and 1 of each of the other 2). 4 x 10L pots will fill my 1m tent nicely. Or just do 3 and have some wiggle room.

Zamaldelica Feminized - 1 seed
Killer A5 Haze Feminized - 1 seed
Golden Tiger Feminized - 5 seeds

Good luck with the grow!

Welcome @Bujuu to ICMag 🥰 and thanks for your support!
Feminized seeds are recommended over the regular if your growing space is small and you have low legal plant limit. The following groups from the genetics you bought are suitable to grow together due to having similar growth habits and flowering times:

1) Faster flowering:

Nepal Jam
Violetta

2) Moderate flowering:

Panama
Zamaldelica
Malawi

3) Longer flowering:

Killer A5 Haze Feminized
Golden Tiger Feminized
Super Malawi Haze

Don't put more than 4 sativa plants per m2 and don't provide excessive long vegetative periods.
Please, keep us updated, good luck!

Thank you so much for your help, @BumSplodgeBrownPants and @dubi!

And I would have doubled your number... Love your choice for me!

Your selection of strains is just outstanding.

I was lucky to try some sativas in countries like Colombia, Brasil, India and Thailand in the past. Back home in north Germany it was only easy to get commercial weed/strains from the nearby Netherlands... It is a dream come true now to be able to grow some landraces and hybrids from your catalogue.

Thank you so much for incredible work and passion for the cannabis culture!!!

Choosing the right strains is always a hard decision, it's so nice to get some professional help.

For example: Once, I saw two huge Malawis growing in 1m², next to 4-5 dutch hybrid plants. The hybrids had some big issues with mold, because of the high humidity caused by the Malawis.

The Zamaldelica Auto and Auto Malawi x Northern Lights I will grow outside. Both seeds germinated a week ago.

I don't know yet... For my personal preference, Group 3 has too much haze influence.

Maybe I should replace the SMH with another sativa from your cataloge. I am rather looking for a clean und uplifting effect. Can you recommend something here? The haze feels often too strong.

I will try to get them earlier in flowering. Hopefully I make some good decisions.

I got an infrared light system, it should boost the flowering. Do you think it advisable to use this system in the flowering time for these sativas? They told me to switch it on for 15 minutes, I think it should start 5 minutes before the light goes off, the IR-Light could start from the first day of flowering.

I like thai x panama from ace. It's my new favourite sativa. Biggest stretcher i grew so far. Maybe there are more potent strains thc wise but for me it's a strong psychedelic long lasting hitter. Dev alot of thai in the high and it gives me the "like in a movie" feeling. Very energetic and motivating effects that can be over stimulating if u consume too much.

Nice project. I would run all the Panama regular and 3-4 feminized seeds of choice. All in small pots first, 3-5 liter and repot to 10 liter when they are flowering well. This way you can select plants that grow well and maybe have a Panama male to play with crosses. Repotting will lower the need of fertilisation, which makes the grow easier as well.

I can fit 3-4 plants in my small box but always start with 10-12, selecting some that grow better/flower faster and end up with "the best" 3-4.
