I have a 5x5x8 Closet converted into a grow room. Two 600 watt cool tubes with UShio bulbs and a T5 and cfl lol. Just redid the ventilation, everything is working so great, I don't need an A/C till summer.
I grow in pure Cococoir, nothing added. I use a local California provider, Sanctuary Gardens and I specifically use their Dutchman Coco coir. 20$ a bag, never had a singe problem. I feed with General hydroponics using an advanced Lucas Formula mix including SM90, Hygrozyme, AACT's, Floracious Plus, Protekt, Diamond Nectar, Microblife Plus C, roots Excellerator and Floranectar, with a pinch of KoolBloom powder. Typically I feed 5.7-5.8 PH, I make the mix come out to either of those with an EC of 1.3.
I started the seeds in pure coco soaked at 0.9 EC and 5.7 ph and I already inoculated the coco with a fresh Air Activated Compost Tea.
Seeds hit the water 4/12/15. I popped five of each, Strawberry N Cream and Chocolate Lemonaid. I'll be using the abbreviations: SnC and CL.
The SnC had tails within 2 days while only two CL had tails and the rest didn't.
So 4/14/15 all 10 seeds were sown.
Today 3 days later all five SnC have started their first true set but only two CL have popped and grown, and one looks a bit messed up, but better give the lil feller a chance since shit, nothings perfect
