Choc n Cherry Ice Cream Cake & OG Kush Mix

Ey up folks.

Gonna do a diary for these seeds I got before Christmas. I intended to pop them sooner but I end up spinning plates like a bellend so I held off. My current runs are 4 & 6 weeks off chop day so I’ll hopefully have these sexed as the others finish up.

The last diary I did for some Connoisseur beans wasn’t the best. I was disappointed with my effort. It in no way reflected my abilities as a grower. The wild sativa nature was something I’ve never encountered and they grew beyond my control. Maybe with a bit more experience and some tips from those who know I could manage it but for now I’ll stick with hybrids such as these.

They’ll be grown in canna coco with Hydrosol A & B powdered nutrients (a first for me). They’ll veg under a lickle 200w Attis before going into the bigger tent under a 480w & 240w Par+ LED.

I’ve since set up an automated watering effort so once established they’ll get 3 to 5 waterings a day.

I’ve got a few lickle bits from OJD in the fridge and it was tough to resist putting out more but settled on 6 of each in the hope of a 50/50 split. I’ll also flower out one of each of the best males to represent what’s on offer for those who appreciate the poor fellas. I’m doing my second attempt at creating my own hybrid (the first is in flower at the moment) so I’m hoping for at least one stand out male to create my 3rd.

Once they’re up I’ll nip in with an update and weekly from there on.

9 days in. Few ropey looking leaves. I’m flowering in the same room so the dehumidifier is keeping things dry at 40% which isn’t a problem in its self. The temp in the veg tent combined with the dry air didn’t help things though. Fed this morning with 1.2ec Hydrosol powdered feed.

Any nice males will be flowered and pollen collected. I’m currently flowering a home made hybrid which is Discobiscuit F2 x (PsychoAnimalStomper x Moonshine Haze x Psychobadger) I call it Soup. Too many ingredients to keep going through and all in one pot. So Soup it is … frosty soup!

Also a mention to the Psychobadger kindly made and shared by HazyDaze. I’m sure he’s on here so hats off to this gifted and kind gentleman

Getting there. Gonna pot them up n move ‘em on. Bit squished so they’re competing a bit. Nowt we can’t sort out though eh.

Still a bit squished in and competition for space is fierce! There’s one Ice Cream that is particularly pungent if you titillate it. So male or female that one is getting flowered out. Don’t mind my pissed up attempt at training. It’s so they fit. The tent is only 1.2m. With light fixture and pot height there’s not much headroom. Big tent should be free within the next 7 days and once they’re in we’ll see a reyt improvement … he sez lol

Ordered me sen some more beans from Connoisseur as a 420 treat. That list of seeds is fucking preposterous! Good money well spent

Ey up … ICC left OG Mix right.

Out of 6 seeds it’s looking like 5 ICC males. I’ve ended up with 3 OG Kush Mix females though. Feeding 1.3ec of Hydrosol. Temps around 26 and humidity floating between 50 - 60. I’ll put them in bigger shoes once I know exactly who’s male n female

Kicked out 3 lads yesterday. I wanted to flower them but it’s nice having the smart meter not break double digits for a change. They look a bit scruffy but I leave them au naturale so I can see what the structure etc is like for pollen chucking.

After moving the known males out there’s a bit more room. I suspect 2 of the last 3 Choc n Cherry are male also. The OG Kush mix seem to be loving the extra room. The last pics are a good few days old. These are how they look tonight …

Great thread bro , dont know how i missed it, thanks for posting .
There are to many similar strains to guess the OG mix strains but will be easier to identify in late flower.

If/when completed hit me up for 2 packs of your choice for running a log.

Kicked out 3 more lads. 2 Choc n Cherry and an OG. The OG had the classic OG Kush stem rub but with seeds left to try I decided not to keep him. Looks a bit sorry. Knowing I was moving them in they were left to go a bit dry n that ….

The ICC males. I decided to take some cuttings of one that was quite sticky when handled and had a nice whiff of a gelato I’ve grown previously.

This is the one I’ve kept. It outcompetes everything around it and has a nice structure. Fairly sticky after pissing about with it. I’ll get some pollen from it at a more convenient time.

Potted up in to 5L pots. Okay it’s not a ‘big’ pot but I find in coco I get more than enough weed from these. Past few grows have been even smaller but since we’ve only 3 ladies in total thought I’d go balls out innit lol

I’ve topped them as well. My plant training leaves a bit to be desired so don’t be too harsh eh.

ICC - looks a little sparse but I think it’s more leggy than owt and it go a bit away from me. I’ll keep it this height until 12/12 either tying down or maybe top again depending how long I think it might have to recover before flowering.

The OG Kush Mix. I dunno why but I love these two. They have an aura about them. Ones a good bit taller than the other. Other than that they’re very much alike. The taller one at the back I went to town on to shorten so it’s kinda on the rebound. She’ll look lovely in a few more days

I kept one back @ojd its rooting in a jiffy. It was one of the ICC it had a nice smell to it and was rather sticky on having a good grope. I’ll flower it out sooner rather than later. Now just isn't the most convenient moment right now. I still have a 4 seeds in the pack so still chances of a couple of ladies in there.

I put out 6 OG Kush and 6 Choc n Cherry.

From the Choc n Cherry I got 5 males. 1 I’ve kept back for a bit of pollen chucking.

The OG Kush I got 2 from an eventual 4. Two of the OG fell by the wayside since they were vegging a lot slower than the rest. So more 50/50 on those.

Yeah I always get them from yer sen like. I’m not bothered bud. This is why I prefer regular seeds. I can make my own then innit I’ll be honest too many females in a pack throw their own problems up like having room for them all. This is the first grow that’s not bursting at the seams and the plants are looking well for it

Aye I’m sure it will bud. If I could have done I’d have just flowered out multiple males, had a chuck n see what stuck. I’d started some (non connoisseur) fem seeds to quicken up the selection process for my own beans so my spare dick around tent is taken for now. I’m hoping to find summat worth reversal. Next time I get some beans from yer I think I’ll go for a nice pack of fems for making summat of my own like

Given a few days to recover from topping and they look much better. You can tell how much fuller the canopy looks.

It was only a small pot up (1.5L - 5L) so a few more days in veg and we’ll flick the switch eh. Decided against topping again as I need to crack on. Hopefully they oblige, bob on and root out those pots nicely. I’ve got a net knocking about so I’ll just tuck a few branches for the next couple of weeks to negate headroom woes. Noticed I’d been mislabelling me pics. Right way round this time …

Finally, potted up that male Choc n Cherry. Excuse the appearance but it’d just come out of a soggy butty bag! Noticed roots other day. Think I worked it out at 9 days to root. Not bad for nowt but a wet jiffy and a butty bag ….

Ey up. Tonight will be their first 12 hour sleep. Cranked the light up a bit and they loved it. Since I took these pics I shoved a bit of plastic fencing over the OG’s. I’m going to keep tucking to keep height down. It’s just yer wilkos spesh with 2” gaps. That elastic 4” stuff is proper shite. Next job is to get a proper metal grate to screen things off. Anyroad, OG’s at the back. Choc n Cherry at the front ….
