CHM/HPS grow

Ok so i have a order for a 400 watt lumitech and 400 watt blue spectrum, 400 watt MH bulbs.
I am going to refuse the order and lose out 20 dollars or so for shipping.
I will be purchasing a 400 watt mag. ballast that can support CHM.
Reason for swapping is worried about heat issues. I was thinking id keep the 400 watt blue spectrum. Use the CHM for vegging and if theres no heat issues with the blue spectrum, use that for flowering.
What do you guys think ?

Also 77hydro.com said that they would exchange my cooltube for another reflector. Witch reflector do you think would be the best chm/hps
i was gonna pay a extra 50 dollars and get the super sun 2 6' air cooled.

Umm...correct me if I am wrong, but isn't MH used primarily for vegging and HPS for flowering? CMH from veg through flower is how most are using it, although there is some disagreement as to whether CMH or HPS is the better flowering bulb. In any case, I would suggest CMH start to finish...OR...CMH for veg and dual CMH/HPS setups for flowering.

What heat issues? the digital ballasts run cooler than the magnetic; Lumateks use a fan-less heatsink too. On the bulb end, 400 watts is going to be the same across the board. That's what watts are for; CMH won't be cooler than a MH or HPS. Also, 400w is a lot of heat so you'll want that air-cooled hood.

Messin n groomin. From reading and looking at the pics of some of that huge thread about chm. In my opinion The CHM's do better in veg but I think the hort. hps does better for flower. The nugs look so nice and sticky with the hps so we will see
About the heat, I don' really know since the guy that says how these are the best bulbs and give less heat is the guy that sells them as well.
I have seen simba using different names posting on many many other weed forums advertising his bulbs in a slick way. I wish I could have someone tell me if there is that much of a heat difference between the hps and the chm? Anyone ?
Even im talking about the ballast im talking about the bulb only.
From what "simba" is saying along with some others who went with his word, purchased and now growing they say that it is cooler and you can put the light closer to the nugs. The light goes up. He also claims less veg time.
Anyway I'll lose out on some shipping costs. I can know for myself whats the best way..
Can anyone tell me witch ballast is the most quiet?
