Nope, its going alright.
Heres kind of a history of whats happened from the beginning to now

And here are some current pix of whats goin on.

The five furthest to the left are the trainwreck clones. unknown strain is the small one just to the right and the one in soil is a white widow female. Only one left I have of that strain.

closer of the white widow female clone. Just went to check on the plants in the greenhouse after being away for a month. (they got no water the entire time) to find this little gem poking out of the soil.
My plan is to re veg her and clone to keep the strain going.

some stuff

Heres the tent, both plants in the buckets are trainwreck.

Some big nuggage

Here is the runt. What a site she is
She is actually the frostiest of the two.
heres a pre harvest sample nug i plucked off the runt. Quicked dried in a toaster oven on 200 for 20 minutes and it weighed in at .7 grams

and this is what the whole thing looks like

Sorry, I haven't read the whole thread but saw you were having hydro issues and saw recommendations of h2o2 so I figured I'd mention it.

I'm sure you already know this but those home depot 5gal bucket lids are not lightproof at all, they let tons of light through and you don't want light getting through and creating algae in the water your roots sit on. I'd get darker lids or use aluminum foil or panda film to stop light from getting through the lids.

Yeah I kinda figured since they were orange they weren't 100% light proof. Haven't really had too much issues with algae. some green stuff seems to attach itself and grow on the galvanized bolts I use to hold down the air stones but thats about it. Might spray paint them black at some point.

Good to see you posting again :) Seems like you've been busy..

I am glad you didnt give up. I truly believe rdwc and variations such as mpb to be the superior method of growing for many reasons. the problem is it is not forgiving and it is not cheap to do right. at least cover your buckets with panda plastic. this will block light and provide minor insulation. very cheap choice. you can also add it to your tubing etc. they make better insulation materials if you had budget but if not panda plastic is better than nothing.

hey man dont give up just keep researching and learning as much as you can.

do i see you have the ballasts in there? get those out of the immediate vicinity if you can, they produce a lot of heat!

in dwc rez temps are critical. i really wouldnt personally do it again without a chiller.

at home depot you can get plastidip which can be brushed on, which dries to a rubberized texture and will block light and assist insulation in addition to the panda plastic. these two in tandum would be less than 20 to do your whole system.

if you can afford reflectix it is ideal, approx 25 bucks for 2x25ft roll at home depot

also look into pipe insulation its cheap too , nice foam you run your tubing thru for good insulation

Havent had any problems with res temps since i built the chiller. Also the ballast thats in the tent isnt hooked up.

so your plants die from heat but you dont have rez trouble? what are your rez temps and room temps? I have a little trouble believing that it can be hot enough to kill your plants off but yet your rez temps are below 70? I mean to cook your plants alive you'd need to be at say 90++ in the room...

My res temps were 65f always. I don't know if you even read the thread but I built a chiller for my system that worked fantastic. The problem was it was in a un insulated out building in the middle of summer. Res temps were fine though.
Don't try to call me out when you Don't even know what happened.

good to see your sticking with it. i was surprised you got the plants as far as you did in that hot ass coop. I'd suggest doing what you did all over again this winter while the temps are down. Of course at some point you gotta insulate that coop and put a couple ac units in there.

Never again in the coop, unless I run more power out to it. all i can pull with the wire thats running there is 3300 watts. so yeah... I would love to turn the shack into a dream growroom though. some day....

I must say has to be the best 1st attempt at rdwc i have seen. You fought like hell to the end and walked away like man. With a couple dirt grows under your belt and your apparent craftsmanship skill you will be growin quality dank in no time. Nice pick of strains! I would like to recomend nirvanas california orange as it was one of the easiest plants i have grown. Now that your growing in a much more forgiving medium you will be able to let the plant talk to you as aposed to looking at the multitude of numbers, conversions, meter readings of hydroponics. Best of luck lloy

Heres a microscope view of one of the buds.

Should I start flush today? Most of the hairs on the plant are still white but a couple are turning.

This is what that white widow clone looks like after 8 days of re-veg on general organic's bio thrive line.
Very very happy with GOBT.

Updates.
I harvested the two plants. and put three trainwreck plants into the tent. The unknown strain, white widow and other two trainwrecks are also doing great.

Plant curing, once the fan leaves are dry enough to snap off its getting trimmed and put in paper bags.

And three trainwreck I just tossed in the tent.

Maybe its time I start a new thread in the soil forums?

Before you go, can we get a yield and smoke report?
purty please

Congratz on saving some of your grow. Nice to see obstacles overcome successfully.

Loved this thread. ;-)
Looking forward to your soil grow reports.
