Chemmy Jones and GrandDoggy Purp

Thought I would share a few pics with you guys.

This is my first run with the Chemmy Jones and cant wait to try her. Looking like she will be taken at right around the 70 day mark.

And here is one of my GrandDoggy Purps, got two moms, but neither purple, but this one sure does funk up the place. Gonna let this one go to 70 as well.

I have topped the Chemmy once in my ongoing grows, next to my Ice, the Chemmy is my second tallest.

Figured Id throw a little update on these ladies.

Got 30g off of the Chemmy Jones. Got another week till the first two topped ones get harvested. Will improve the yield. It has also seemed to help with the lanky structure. She is still about a foot taller than my other strains. So I will keep working it.

Chemmy Jones has a pepper/fuel smell and taste in the smoke. Not real expansive. No choking with big bong rips. I really like the flavor, smell and high. Doesn't knock out but does relax. I seem to be a little more social, i like to communicate with people more. I really like this strain.
It's a keeper for me, a few mates have sampled and love it as well. Wish i could put it up to get a 2 month cure, but that will never happen. When i have it I smoke it till its gone and pick up nothing else til it is. unless you count the finger hash from it i like to put on top!

The GrandDoggy Purp pulled in two g's more than the Chemmy did. I had two moms that i felt neither was a keeper.

Pix are working now.. looks good me thinks maybe you should top plants somewhat early in veg so you get more branches perk up the yield on these lovely ladies

Chemmy is getting topped at 5th node currently, got two this week that will finish. Its still taller than most so I think ill top the upper two branches again. I can let the veg go to bout 12 weeks if i gotta.

Was your grandoggy a regular or feminized release?

On the chemmy, I think 12 weeks is bit on the crazier side. Chemmy is one of.those that make up for shortened veg time due to the stretch. Just be ready to support and she will put out the yield.

I like mine at 70 days but cut all the time at 60ish. Think my keeper is bit more chem leaning on flavors but definite Sativa dom buzz, almost no expansion, great yields, I had an okay sample tested at 18% last year with gc

I will give a smoke report on the GrandDoggy on the next harvest, which is both moms.
I neglected it so far due to it not meeting my expectations, and i didnt want to give a negative review on a strain that I only had 2 plants on. Neither purpled on me, and the taste wasnt so great. yield and high were good.

The GrandDoggy seeds were feminized.


The Chemmy is a keeper. I havent let any of my strains go to 12 weeks veg....yet, but the way i have my perpetual going, if i have to I can. I use 12/1 lighting in veg and i noticed that my cuts will take 3-5 days off after topping. So im figuring 2 weeks delay with the 2 toppings.
