Chemdog

So I take my normal trip to the clinic, except this time I see a sign that says:

"Chemdog - straight from chemdog himself! 2g limit"

I've read all about the chemdog strain and how it's related to the diesels/kushes we all love. I had to go for it...when else was I gunna get chemdog, let alone supposedly from chemdog himself? Kinda pricy, $25/g...but hell I got some extra cash layin around.

I bring it home...open the medicine bottle, give it a nice strong whiff and I'm immediately unimpressed with the smell. It smells...alright...hints of possible dankness hidden by a hayish smell. No where near the realm of Sour deez/bubba/og kush.

Appearance-wise it's not all that either, the resin is there but not so much of it. Looks kinda like a diesel in appearance.

Taste-wise it was nothing special, really didn't have much of a taste. Can't say much else about it.

High-wise it surprised me, I smoked the first bowl of it right before typing this and I'm pretty pleasantly high. More indica high with a hint of trippiness in there.

Overall I think this sample might not have been grown very well and that's the cause for the taste/smell/appearance. Mighta been cut a little early or something. I feel like it has potential, but this sampling no where comes close to living up to any hype...

Anyways, I'll post back in a few days with some pictures and afterthoughts after smoking it more than once.

ok well lets see. where did you get the chemdog from.. as i was chilling with the amn himself this week so i will be able to verify if its true or not. is it from horti? as the chemdog i ahve and was smoking on was bomb as hell and you can easily see the relation of og and chemdog as we were smoking og,chemdog,chemdog d, and a few others

I can see the relation to OG, but cmon...this doesn't really compare and I know you know Og...

ok if its from horti them you do ahve chemdog . its chemdog d they got it from chemdog right before he came to my house.. i think your not liking it as they prob gave just ok nugs not pick of the pound. i saw and smoked what you got but the prime nugs and you can easily see ,smell and taste the relation to og and sourd. are the buds more spear shaped?? kinda wierd as we were smoking all of them side by side and each hung with each other so i dunno. kinda wierd .. i know og as we had sfv og and the real deal og and the og from upnorth called headband and then we had wake asss og from a fellow grower on here that i thaught was more reliable but man his og wasnt evven og. kinda sad.. but anyway yeah we had all of them and were smoking on all of them. i know my chemdog hits me right between the eyes and has about the same high og does for me like 30 mins and need another bowl ..so go figure ...

Yeah...the nugs are kinda bottom nugs. I wouldn't be surprised if they kiefed them or something as well ( maybe not i dont know horti that well lol ).

I know from growing that you just can't compare the prime nugs on the plant to the rest of it...it's a whole different bud really.

One thing I do know for certain, I like the NYCD I got at the same time from Horti much more...

Nice to know Chem is sharin' with the clubs, even if its limited. Insane price, though, for such a report.

Sounds like my experience with a few killer strains in Amsterdam. At one place I'd see top-shelf and at another it was bottom of th ebarrell. I'm sure if you smoked with Chemdog, the better nugs would be found, but there's no debate what Ogstradamus smoked was real-deal CD and this report is a reflection of his sample.

oh i know fernando.. i just didnt want him to think that was it.. you know.. i know how certain owner of the clubs are out here. some like the prime buds for them selves..oh it was chemdog d from chemdog thats a fact the d is just the name of the phenotype a,b,c,d. i just think the owner of the club could have been a little cooler about shit wit it you know.just wanted to say just dont judge he book by the cover. its not all bad..

i was there the other day and saw the sign, i did'nt buy any though.... i saw the jar first and it looked like shake and popcorn buds. i wanted to get some nycd but the jar was also at the bottom..... just got some hassan and some blueberry. both were dank.

one time i got a 1/4 of bubba kush and was all lil leafy popcorn buds.... i think they could inproove w/ that.....

YES this is true!! the headband,, damb that shit is defintly one of a kind.. I can assure you guys this man had the bombest SOUR D ive smoked in a long damb time! HOly shit...reminded me of the old school tangerine NYCD diesel.. shit was bomb! way better than the chemdog itself!
Im not sure what chemdog I got from Chemdog but I have to say the looks were great and it was super stony but it was lacking in the taste department.

Swerve.....Out of all the OG's that you have smoked, which is the best? Have you ever tried the "Abusive" cut of OG? I have what I'm told is the Abusive cut. It looks like OG, but the taste and smell are different(not nearly as good) from the real deal OG I've had from Cali. So I'm thinking I might have a fake OG. Could you describe that fake OG some more. Thanks. :smile:

Ogstradamus, first off thanks for the report. I happen to believe with Swerve, I've had a couple of smoking sessions with Chemdog myself and the Chemdawg d is some tip top shit. That one out of all of them is really a destructive high. That being said I have to believe that those buds are processed and byproducts (such as kief) was removed. Making your buds less than effective. I say this because I would have killed to get my hands on a cut.

I also have that Abusive OG cut. So any info would be apreciated. My cut smelled just like OG while growing but lost that taste and smell during curing.

it's safer in the long run for folks to spread those special clones around a bit. you never know when one might be glad to have it back again. the more have it the safer it is.

I'm smoking some chemdog d as I type this and it's some very good herb. I didn't buy it anywhere though I grew it. Not the highest yielder by any means but some primo herb. $25 a gram is a bit pricey for any pot though in my book, I have no idea what the rates are in the clubs but I'm guessing some other weed goes for top dollar now and again there. Shit I had a lil bit extra and I tightened up a buddy of mine for $50 for a quarter zee, he was one happy dude.

Just picked up some they were holding for me at the Pharm. Great smoke! I smoked a couple rips then backed a bowl and put some oil on top...man oh man did I get ripped! Tastes very close to some that I've had before.

I believe that has to do with the way it was organically grown.

I like the NYCD I got at the same time from Horti much more...

Great smoke as well. I just burned through an ounce of that in little over a week. It also rolls very nice

Guys to clear things up the stuff in the club was in fact the orig chemdog 1991 cut i got from up in san fran area and brought to my friend in socal i agree it was about a 7 but is the real deal and the stone will punch you. As far as all the bud i left you guys was all mine and is in fact different as you can tell
