I dont believe the heads that were passed the clone were of the greedy makin money off it type, but i could be wrong....i think you can call the chem a bastard now...since the release of the rez hybrid beans....who know who got those...if a coop got a hold of em its all over...will be just like og...the average joe grower wont have any idea of the legitmacy of the cut....fuck it lets just make a ton of chem s1 and let everyone have their very own chem cut...that way we can all have a special pheno...lol ahhh what a joke...what was once special just a year or two ago is now being leaked in the gene pool like a virus...anyways..

My point was more along the lines of bastardizing the chemdawg line/namesake than about greed and money. But your points are also valid and I can see why you took my statement as you did. I was just trying to point out why chem is not letting the clone go out to every tom dick and harry out there, because that leads to the inevitible knockoffs, s1's being passed off as the original clone and so on.

But your right SC, the line and novelty if you will died with Rez's chem beans. Now its just another instance of something that used to be prized and coveted to something that will be whored out to everyone with $50 in their pocket. (see ECSD, Bubba Kush, OG Kush etc.)

This argument will never change, people who dont have the item in question will always say that it should be put out to the masses while most of the people who do have it will say it should be protected from that exact scenario.

Take it as you will, just my opinion.

It's as basic as it gets. It's about keeping your word irregardless of whether it's a plant or anything. That obviously hasn't been done. The cuts are already out there, and now theres alot of damage control happening. The real clone is still the real clone and the ones who have it know that. It really changes nothing accept now more people are gonna be making money off of it and somebody didn't keep their word. It was inevitable with such a long drawn out release project of planting one or so seeds every year or so.

If a seed line was the ultimate goal(and it had to be otherwise why all the effort to keep it in protected circles) to this then it should have been done sooner in my uneducated but common sense approach to this whole thing.

I can't imagine the thought of only 20 or so people in the world having this strain. Just thinking that feels weird.

Sorry just trying to see it clearly through all the bullshit.

Let's say hypothetically that it was given out when it should not have been and crosses were made or S1's. I do not believe that it in any way changes the real clone. Not to be repetitive but if a seed line was the ultimate goal. Then it still is all about what breeder you trust to do the work. I think that has to be factored in to this at this point.
