Cheese smoke report

Was hoping to come back with some better news about this strain, the smell really tricked me into thinking it was going to be something special.

The high of it was pretty much a let down, it lasted for about 30 minutes, and only had a half a minute or so of a peak, which was pretty weak in my opinion. The herb when ya smoke it makes your eyes feel like they are having some effects, mine felt as though they were getting watery and a bit drowsy but I didnt feel tired or lethargic. I was expecting this to floor me and be a stronger hit, it does effect you very fast and you can feel it on the exhale.

The smell is very nice, a spicey fruity licorice smell that is hard to pin down. I think it smells a lot like really sweet good n plenty candy all smashed up. The kinda pot that when ya crack the jar open people ten feet away look at you immediatly. The taste of it was similar to the smell but not as strong, and had a bit more of a musky earthy smell to it, the flavor was more like "regular" herb than anything.

It would be a nice light daytime smoke for most, it does have a calming relaxing quality to it, but if your in need of serious medication - id look elsewhere.

comment: Nice chunky nugs in most of the gram and eighth ounce weights, has a uniform look to it, most of the nugs are fairly similar with not much variance in density, shape, size or color. It has that airy sort of sativa look to it.

comment: Smaller sativa trichomes cover the nugs inside and out, the trichomes are a little larger on the inside than the outside and there are many more heads inside, may have been skuffed. Appears that many of the buds coming out of this dispensary are this way yet again.

comment: Light nugs that are easy to break up, ive grown some sativas in my day that just come out looser than most, the blackberry widow being one of em, and this reminds me a bit of that density. Good joint weed but might burn too fast if overly dry.

FINAL COMMENTS:
very quick and short high, it is speedy for a few minutes but then it quickly fades away to make my eyes very heavy. It almost makes me want to take a nap after smoking a few bowls of it, dont really feel anything that wants to keep me going or make me feel like going back to work.

Smell is great, has a strong fruity hash smell, it stinks up a whole room just sitting in a bag. Mediocre taste at best, tasted like bland herb.

Wouldnt buy this one again myself.

Grat3fulh3ad - i did ask them if this was the cheese from across the pond and they said it was the northern-cali version, whatever that means. It is very strong smelling, I would give it a 9/10 on intensity of smell, only a few i have come across have smelled as strong as this. If you were in a crowded odorous place such as a bar or concert and reached into your pocket and cracked the jar, you would be getting a lot of people asking for a handout no doubt..quick to get ya in the nose and it does smell like some very very nice pot.

The main reason I bought it was because of the intense smell. From what I have read, the UK version doesnt have a major fruity component, but it has a very unique smell of actual cheese - you know anything about that in the UK cut?

Yup... that sounds like the UK cut... very little sweetness and alot like one of the stinkier actual cheeses... The intensity does sound similar...

truecannabliss and brightside are great sources of UK cheese info, and both grow it quite well...

If they differentiated it from UK by calling it the NorCal version, it may very well be different...

It dont sound like the real deal that is being described to me, I've smoked and grown it and your description seems to be of something of a far lower quality than the UK cheese. The bud also looks far too dark which leads me to believe it to be a BBC as oppose to the original Cheese clone.
I think i can say without doubt that anyone who encounters the real deal Cheese is gonna be impressed a lot.....i have had the pleasure of smoking a most of the USA elites and can say without any hesistation that it is easily up there with the best of the best.
The whole 'does it smell like actual cheese?' is answered by me with a simple yes(well kinda)....having opened the jar around my dad (who never smokes), he commented that it smelt like some kind of funky, spoilt cheese....this is not to say that it is the only smell and i agree that the frutyness is really apparent when flushed well but the smell is deffinatly similar to a weird musky cheese with some super complex undertones and flavours.
I am not feeling at my most articlualte and may well come back to this thread to go into a little more detail....some pics of bud too.

Interesting.

It reads to me like perhaps the herb was harvested too early, based on the description of the effect and that there were no amber trichs. Also Sauron, you mention the buds looked like they may have been scuffed. It is possible the high was lacking due to these reasons.

Would really love to try some myself some day.

I have to agree on the description and smoke report. I didn't want to post the results until I was sure someone else had the same experience. I grew out 3 BB Cheese females. They were flowered for 65 days. I sample all my bud 2-3 weeks before harvest just to get an idea of potency. I get a nice high from early weed, not with cheese. It was not very strong and I could tell at D45 it sucked, at least for my standards. It looked and smelled great, but that was it. I was really disappointed. I planted 10 beans got 3 females and they all were weak IMHO. Sorry for the bad news and please don't ask for pictures. I didn't bother. It looked like A+ weed, just didn't have any potency! Plus I don't understand what a picture has to do with taste or potency!! I cannot endorse Big Buddah Cheese.

Having purchased Big Buddah Cheese seeds through seedbay.. they came in a plastic vile and had a loose credit card sized pic with it.... just so everyone knows if they bought em or got em that way..

I found my female BB Cheese EXTREMELY EXCELLENT... the plants started showing lots of sugar around 3-4 weeks into 12/12 the buds were small comparatively speaking with lots of strains and they grew slow not a big stretch only about 2 maybe 2.5x at most.. They needed 9+ weeks to get their full potency.. and they had what I could say was a dirty parmasean cheese smell to the herb which is VERY crystally at harvest.. 1/3 joint knocks me good for a couple hours then that same joint for another 1/3 does the same... its EXCELLENT SMOKE both females that I have grown.. my only complaint would be it has SMALL YEILDS compared to both the size and time it takes to grow.. and other nice plants like nebula or white gold ak47 etc..

I would HIGHLY reccomend growing the BBC CHeese seeds as described above.. I can't vouch for any cut... But I've grown many differeny types check my gallery.. and I find the BBC Cheese amongest the finest.. as far as smoking goes!!
