Still have the album somewhere. The paper however was used about 20 years ago on a day when none of us 7 17 year olds had a bit of herb. "well I got a little bud if someone can match me......yeah me too.......yeah me too.......yeah me too" before we knew it there was about 2 oz's on the table......time for the big bambu!!!!
I had the pleasure to use the big paper. My friend lived in the back of the bowling alley because his dad owned it. He had a 1/4 lb of local bud and the album. He just filled it up and gave it his best wrap job (no adhesive on paper) and lit it. We cracked up and listened to The Who's Quadraphenia and Hendrix Electric Ladyland on his killer quad music system. After closing we would bowl with a strobe light on and nothing else, or go in the back after doing mescaline and watch the pin setters!! Those were the days. I still have my paper.
rafe - That's amazing that you had a friend who lived in the back of a bowling alley! You must have had some great memories...
I'm a young buck, but I hope to be able to purchase one of these records one day. I will treasure it forever. And one day possibly smoke the paper and create a memory like all you have!
i'm young too. Most likely an even younger buck than Artofmakingfire and I'd love to buy that album w/ the rolling paper and all as well. But first I need to get a kickass record player and sound system. PEACE
I get a catalog from Musicians Friend. You can buy anything you need music wise from these people. The prices are great and they repair exchange things with no problems. There was a turntable in my newest one for under $200 that had a USB port so you could make cd's out of your precious vinyl and listen to them in your car!! Hell yeah!! I have a huge collection of vinyl that I would love to put on cd. Then you can only put what songs you want to hear also. Check the website at www.musiciansfriend.com and they have scratch and dent, and factory refurbished items with warranty, for even better prices. I have used this company exclusively for over 20 years. I got a Marshall amp in 3 days to Fairbanks, AK. All the staff can play the instruments so when you talk to a guitar tach he knows what you are talking about.
I had this album with C&C riding in car. The inner sleeve with the inside door revealing their stash. It served as a great stash spot for seeds. Far too much smoke to stash there but i loved listening to it.
We too used the giant paper that came with the album, it held about 1 3/4 ozs if I remember right and 6 of us passed it back and forth for what seemed like hours. I think we smoked ourselfs straight HAHAHAhahaha!!!
We took the Big Paper and rolled up a gargantuan, then got a big azzed Battery Cable Clamp, Big one, real big,and we smoked it and passed that Doooooo-Beeeee, from car to car going down I-75 to an Alice Cooper concert in Cincy, heh those were the days my friend, I thought they'd never end.
Wish I had saved the paper, or better yet bought a few more albums back then to sell today and still have extra papers. I would not give up the memory of smoking that bad boy for anything though; we managed to roll 2 lids (and our dealers sold lids as full ozs, none of this 3/4oz BS) and had one helluva night. Would love to have another paper or two, might just have to check out eBay.
