These SAG Bubbleberries are about 20 days old from germination. They are the most compact growing plants I've ever grown, they started branching right away.

I know they're due for a transplant soon, but do they look like they're stunted? They're only about 3" tall but on their 5th node already.

I fed them once w/ FF grow big and molasses lightly. They are in 18 oz cups w/ peat/humus/perlite at about a 1/1/1 ratio w/ dolimite lime added. Each plant is under a 42 w CFL of their own.

Thanks,
Jack

Why would I need to flush them? What's the reasoning?

They need a transplant and they need a feeding.

Otherwise everything looks okay.

I don't understand why you'd feed with molasses as such a young age, isn't that a flowering amendment?

It's more for the soil organisms than the plants and at a very light dose. The molasses feeds the good bacteria in the soil that help to break nutrients down to be used by the plants. It's an organic thing (and yeah I know FF Grow Big isn't completely organic) lol....

There getting a transplant maybe tonight and a healthy feeding to go along with it.....

Lights out temps are getting down to the mid 60's that could be slowing them down too I guess.

Thanks for the help,
Jack

Cool... thanks for the info. Makes sense.

Temps are dropping round here too... nobody is too fussy yet over it though!

I think they look good. You might want to put them in larger pots though. It's hard to tell from the pics, but you might need a tad bit more nitrogen, it looked like you had some early yellowing.

Good luck.

Yeah, if they're dryed out enough I'll do the transplant tonight, I just watered them yesterday though so I might not be able to.

Thanks guys,
Jack

Transplant and you will be amazed at how healthy and big they will become!!!

30% perlite 60% Ocean Forest Soil 15% Miracle Grow Moisture Control (available at Home Despot) and 5% organic ferts (bone meal & blood beal both at Home despot by Vigoro).....

That is just a suggestion, however.....you should find many good recipes aroung these parts....

:ying: guineapiggin' can you dig it? :ying:

I think the wavy leaf and twisting is mild zinc deficiency.

Obvious solution is the seedlings need fert with micros containing zinc

Other possible reasons:

>too wet
>too cold
>too much phosphorus
>too much alkaline earth metals especially magnesium; this could be too much lime with calcium and magnesium
>too much copper
>too much iron
>ph too high
>rootbound

Check what ph your getting from the cups. Directions for testing soil ph is in my signature below.

I just transplanted and fed them, we'll see how they do with that. They were starting to get a little rootbound and I haven't fed them too much yet. Another grower I was talking to said Bubbleberries eat a lot so I stepped up the doseage a bit.

guineapig,
Thanks they should take off now

Sproutco thanks......I guess.
