CHEAPER ENZYMES

C

CannaBuilding

Been Using barley clear from Pond care and with a higher dosage than normal, but i dont add the enzyme directly to the res, i dilute it in a old cannazyme bottle with distilled water.

Used to have Algae ontop of my coco, ever since upping the dosage, algae has gone and the coco is back to a nice brown colour, also have reused the coco for the 3rd time and the same genetics look alot healthier with the higher dosage.

I only recommend upping the dosage with barley/peat based enzymes, as it does not affect ph at all, ph will drop about 0.05 when using a higher dosage.

Exprimented with higher dosages using a used coco root ball, and its been soaking for about 1 month now, and the roots after turned into stringy lifeless strands, Its like the soft inner part of the roots have dissolved and left a hard stringy piece of root, concluded that this process might help when reusing coco, 2nd and 3rd run have proved this, with much healthier faster growing plants.

Peace.

30 mls per 100 gals is the dosage on the bottle, i use about 1-2 mls every 10L sometimes i might go to 3mls, seeing though its natural i dont see the harm in increasing the dosage, also noticed the slime that accumlates on the bottom of the res, is no more.

Barley based enzymes all the way, nothing better than a natural enzyme.

Maybe a dumb question but…..

Maybe a dumb question but…..

I've been using Pond Protector. It contains the very same hydrolyzing enzymes (amylases, proteases, lipase, cellulase, beta-glucanase, and pectinase) that are contained in the enzyme products sold in the hydroponic stores.

As I said before, the only difference is the concentrations.

Is mycorrhizal rhizosphere the same as enzemes, er is it an enzeme?
 thanx

I've started using my pond cleaner stuff in the bucket bong. Maybe I'm trippin' but it seems to last longer before the water goes stanky.

"Mycorrhizal" likely refers to fungus, and rhizosphere is what the soil ecosystem is called. Enzymes are compounds that are very useful to life forms, and typically produced by life forms. It's definitely not the same thing. Hope that clears it up.

Just another A O K from me.

Pond Zyme w/ Barley Heavy Duty Pond Cleaner @ 1g/35Gal.

Hasnt had a noticeable effect on my pH (i keep it 5.8-6.0), nor on my EC (I havent actually measured it, it could be something like 0.1ec).

Fountain is still 'gum-free' too.

Still no problems @ 1g/35Gal every two weeks in my perpetual reservoir.

the fountain eventually needed the pipe cleaner treatment:tiphat:

Good thread. I've always figured that if my microherd is right, I won't need much additional enzymes though I still use Hygrozyme once or twice in a cycle just in case...

Care free has like 6 different things for hydro now.. What is the difference? just the concentration? They state that some are buffered and some arent.

I was thinking about using this stuff. Found it at Home Depot for $9

Was gonna mix a capful into a gallong of water and then do 2-3ml of that per 5 gal. What do you think?
