Does anybody have a good cheap tea recipe for veg and flower. With ingredience that is buyable at most home and hardware/ garden centre stores.

Basicaly I want to be able to write down the materials to brew up this tea on a sheet of paper. Mission it to wallmart, home depot and lowes and be able to get everything I need.

If it can be done I'm dying to know the materials needed! THANKS

hey weed seed you might have to wait a little bit for an answer this isnt a chat room.

for some cheap effective teas you could get urself some bat guano i have some for veg 10-3-1, cost me 8$ for 2 lbs. also some wormcastings will be useful and are cheap as well. for flower look for more of a high p and k bat guano also i found some for under 10$. the only thing is home depot most likely wont have bat guano have to check a local nursery for that. theres one in almost every city. also some kelp meal which is fairly cheap too and works good on plants.

yea and a sock helps to keep you from having to strain the mix later on.

As jaykush stated, a sock is useful to avoid straining the tea. Personally I do not always use one. Sometimes I just let it all bubble, then when I need the tea I turn off the airpump and let it sit for about half an hour, then water the plants. This allows me to dump the bottom goo on my compost pile from time to time.

Peace

Another question, does it always have to be bubblin? Or do you have to bubble it every so often?

P.S. I'm only going to use the teas for flowering because I rally dont see the point using it in veg.. My soil already has enough organic compounds n such in there. Anways that being said, if your going to post a tea recipe, make it a tea used in flowering, thanks.

yes i think it has to be bubbling all the time because the oxygen is what is feeding the microherd... correct me if im wrong...

Yes, the oxygen is what you need to keep the beneficial microbes alive. But turning off the airpump for any reason will not kill your microkiddies instantly, it can sit a few hours without air and still be full of them. Heck, stirring the tea with a stick every hour provides plenty of oxygen. If you added molasses or any kind of "food" for them, you may let it sit a bit longer, it's no big deal. But you would need to have a good reason to turn off that airpump (ie. mechanical failure or clogged airstone).

Peace

Technique description:
You can use queen size knee high nylon stockings for tea bags.
3 pair for a dollar at the dollar store.
Put the recommended tea in the stocking, tie a loop knot in it and hang it in your tea bucket.
The tea should look like a mud puddle.
Agitate the bag in the water vigorously.
An aquarium pump and air stone will dissolve oxygen into the solution and keep the good bacteria (microherd) alive and thriving.
Let it bubble a day or two before you use it.

You can use queen size knee high nylon stockings for tea bags. 3 pair for a dollar at the dollar store. Tell 'em you use them for paint strainers. If you find you are making too much tea and having to throw it out, use 2 1/2 gallons of water and cut the nute amount by half.

And there is more great information at the OFC...heres the link.
