cheap exhaust fan

Well, If you are like me and don't have enough money for a centrifugal exhaust fan.
Then a good cheap alternative is a kitchen rangehood extractor fan.

That is what I have done. And it is pulling air through my big ass DIY carbon filter satisfactory.

how big's that ass . lol thanks kiwi , its the same thing at the end of the day , with a built in speed controler also . and extra filters on that hood . never thought about using this . thanks . may ur garden florish and ur grass b green :woohoo:

Carbon is 900mm long x 250mm round with 20kgs of carbon.

Oh yeah, forgot to mention the built in speed controller. Does come in handy for those super hot days or those super cold days.

i;m turning my head here and looking at the 100mm flexi duct from cooker hood and wondering how i never read this before . thanks kiwi a truly great idea

This is my one. I just removed what I did not want on it. I also add a thermostat to it to maintain the correct temperture.

10 out of 10 nice work . my only concern is the motor running full time ? burnout ! but with that said they take abuse in a domestic setting . great pic thanks again for the insight u guys have it goin on down there

haha! nice work. Too bad I just dropped a pretty dime on a 4' vortex exhaust fan. I like your idea, wonder what the lifespan is?
