Gunna be running a digital window ac that I don't believe comes back after a power outage. However my ballasts do
I'd like to avoid paying 80$+ a piece for a lot of these shut offs

I used one of these to control my fan. You can use it to turn on heat. Or to turn on fans. I'm wondering if I run it as if it were to control a heater.. I.e "heat" (light) is on until temps hit I.e 90*.

Also open to other ideas :)

those operate in a cooling mode, and they are so simple i doubt that they can be reconfigured.

check out the utility grade johnson controls single stage line voltage thermostats.

Awesome man.
Thanks for he links. I'll check it out when I get home.

im not positive if it will work. But you can definitely use the one I have to control heat or cool. (I.e trigger switch on if it's too hot or trigger if it's cold depending upon how you use the dial) I'd have to test it out to make sure it would work the way I think it would tho.
