What are you calling affordable, how big is the closet, and how many watts are you running? Also, details about your closet and what you are willing to do would help...
I use a walk in closet for veg with an air cooled 1K and an 800W combo fixture,I also needed a way to get cool air in there.I have a window AC on the opposite wall about 10 ft away so what I did was hung an air circulator(big fan) from a chain in the ceiling directly in front of the AC grill maybe 10 inches away.I put the air circulator on low and it basically carries the cold air from the AC right into my closet.I have a couple oscillating fans also to help with air movement. This sounds Hoakey but works very well.
Cooltubes are very cheap and effective, especially homemade ones. You need a glass tube ofcourse; hurricane candle chimnies -OR- a Corning Pyrex "bake-a-round" tubes are by far the best tubes to use. It shouldnt cost you more than $30 and shouldnt take you more than 30 minutes to make a cooltube. Heres an old OG growfaq explaining how: http://www.drugs-forum.com/growfaq/1432.htm

The hurricane candle chimney is available at you local arts and crafts store and should cost 6 bucks. The bake a round tube is vintage and can be mainly found on ebay.
Both tubes can handle bulbs up to 1000w, but its best you choose the pyrex tube for 600w and above sinse its borosilicate glass and can handle high heat.
Ofcourse you can get one retail if you dont want to build one: www.mdhydro.com
An exhausted 265cfm dayton should be able to handle a 1000w cooltube setup pretty well, but make sure you use a grow room ventilation formula to figure out the correct fan size.
You can always add more power to your exhaust:
simply buy a standing box fan (20 bucks at k-mart) and get a card board box bigger than the fan. put the fan in the box make sure it fits snuggly or seal the interior separating the two halfs,(side A: air in then, the fan then, side B: air out), seal the box and run the electric cord out with a small hole. Cut an in and out hole in two sides of the box for ducting. Only problem is this jerry rigged box fan takes up space, and looks dumpy but it must move over 400 cfm, and a vent fan that moves 400 cfm usually run you about 180 bucks.
note: box fans aren't really rated for continuous use so becarefull, use a timer and dont simply leave it on.
Get a freezer coil from one of those mini fridges, mount it in a wooden box with a fan that draws air over the coil and out the fan exhaust. Maybe find one at yard sales, thrift stores, etc.
