theres this very good looking girl i work with, who has a boyfriend... we'd been friends for a month or so when i took her out.. then again after that, but never made a move.. the second time i took her out i ****ed something up.. and she went weird after that.. so now I get the ever so-original message "I value our friendship too much for anything else to happen" in a nutshell. I wish i could delete that one night of my life

I agree with mr sinister here. those are your basic two choices.........or you can just ignore her forever....ha

It sounds likeit'll just be awkward for a few days and then you can just be friends with her again if thats cool with you.
I'd go with the 'tell her you had to try' move and then be a normal friend to her. Not her best friend though, cause you still want to be a prospect when her bf effs up and shes looking for a new option. If you're the best friend, she won't want to ruin that and will probably never dat you, at least IME. You just want to be the normal friend who's around and chill BUT is NOT the one she shares every aspect of her life with and gets relationship advice from.

At least now you know that she knows you're interested and so if she breaks up with her current man, you're kinda a standing option in the back of her mind (assuming she'd be interested now if she was single).

You just have to find a good side to the situation and go about life like it doesn't matter. Thats the key I think, just kinda let her see that you've brushed it off and moved on. I'm NOT suggesting that you flaunt another girl in front of her or brag about whatever other girl, as that'll probably just annoy her and she'll see exactly what you're doing most likely, immediately decideing you're an a-hole.

from just personal experience, I have seen that most young women who have no plans to get married for at least 10 years tend to go for the jerk jack ass type. women who are looking to get married tend to seek the mature, responsible type. SO if you are persuing a 19 year old, she most likely wont care that you are investing in the future, repsonsible, cultured, etc at that age in general, you treat them like shizz, they love you more. If they have a bad relationship with their dad.... Bingo!
