Changing the 12/12 to opposite hours

Hello All,

I just put my kids into 12/12 about a week ago. Low and behold, my supervisor at work changes my shift and now I have to figure out a way to tend to the kids when I'm home.

What I want to do is change the 12/12 that I have going now to another 12/12 starting later in the day. I don't want to fuck them up of course because I've got 2 1/2 months into them already in veg. Would be a terrible waste!

How do I do this?

Give them a coupla hours of extra lights off and work your way around to the time you want.

If you really have to do it in a hurry, I've let them skip a lights on period and just started them up at the new 'on' time and had no troubles.

Main thing is, give them extra dark and not extra light to avoid problems.

Hey NT, that's kinda what I was thinking. Didn't want to deprive them of sleep, but wasn't sure if flipping the lights off after an hour to start another 12 dark would be ok.

I'd probably give it more than an hour. If you were going to use it only for an hour, I'd just say let 'em go dark until starting the next on period when you need it.

howdy

just change the timer to where you need it after 24hr darkness, it wont bother them, i have done that many times with no adverse trouble.

Thanks for the help guys. Just reset the timer, they're getting a few extra hours in the dark tonight.
