Champagne x Alaskan Afghani

Here is a small test grow since I took a 3 year sabbatical from growing. I am a licensed medical consumer and decided to share what I see with the rest of the world. Hello World!

This is a mix of the California Champagne clone that circulated around the medical scene about 5 years ago. For those that don`t know, Champagne is very fruity and potent. This is my favorite Indica of all times and I`ve grown plenty. lol

The other mix of this hybrid is an old Alaskan Afghani that looked as if it was stabilized over many years from long ago. I grew maybe 5 random seeds and they all looked identical and after inbreeding this strain I found that of maybe 15 plants, all were identical. The finished product is a real dry and potent taste. Smell is unlike any other common indica strain I have seen. It feels like smoking poison when toking this indica. har har.

Mixing the two strains together, I found a hybrid that looked very stable. I have grown maybe 5 females to finish and all looked identical. Taste is like berry tasting poison and 1-2 tokes from a normal smoker will send them into the clouds. Turns purple at temps below 65f. Takes about 7 weeks to mature.
Its not the biggest indica yield, but I would say it rates a 8/10 on yield.

Hey man, I use to grow California Champagne 4 years ago. It was one of my favorites, but can't seem to find any around my parts. I bet that hybrid is a nice smoke, great job!!

one more small picture :)

this plant was runt in the barrel, it was only a fraction of the size as the main plant in the hydro pot. Still, prob going to expect a 1 ounce yield. Max I have seen from this hybrid is about 3 ounces from a 2 gallon hyro pot. Other strains I like typically get maybe 2x that. Its my guess the small yield was due to a larger plant choking out its root system. In the battle for space, champ/afghani lost. lol

alaskan afghani is like an oxymoron. a muslim inuit is beyond percievable. nice plant tho.

heh, as far as I know, alaska has a very fast fall season. This was supposedly the reason some breeders took the afghani to alaska in the 70s. It was designed to bloom fast due to alaskas fast shift from summer, to fall, to winter.

An old dude that gave it, told me,this afghani strain is the OG thunderfuck.

I have no proof but i do know its very rare tasting indica and looks and tastes like nothing I see on the streets or in the medical scene. Nor is it similar to the amsterdam indicas.

Sup bacco =P still drinking like a fish? lol

:pointlaug :joint:

I guess i`ll grow one of these big if you all want to see it. I can only grow about 3 at one time here in california and it be legal under my medical license. I`m not a stupid grower, I`ma yuppy that knows the rules :sasmokin:

Is this related to BC champagne hashplant?

not sure bro, i have heard and spoke to a couple growers that have tried both the cali champagne and the bc champagne. saddly, i have never tried the bc champ.
i`m not sure if an older member is still around, but do a search for lbhydro on google. he might have posted something in the past.
