certain plants inside tent with low resin non sticky

Hey guys, some weird thing happened on my last grow, and is happening on the current too, I will try to explain the best, the setup is at the end of this post. Maybe this has happened to other tent users, I would like to share this and see if somebody knows this thing:

Previous grow:

5 plants, the 3 kandy kushes were full of resin, dank, sticky resinous lots of trichomes, But.. the other two (one tanjie and one Jackie white) had the trichomes like dried and not sticky at the touch, like they didn't have trichomes or they were wrong, and Iam kinda sure those strains are supossed to be very resinous.
I though they were crap but looks like it was a factor that stressed them but the kushes. At first I thought "the kushes just eclipsed the others".

Current grow:

4 plants, (3 sensi stars, 1 kandy kush):
sativish big sensi star, very, very frosty and resinous, very sticky and healty plant, the kush also, very healty very resinous, both pretty white strains and healthy.
but the other 2 sensi stars (indica shorter twins) are at week 5 and they are supossed to be like the others, but they have a similar sympthom, not resinous like the others, and the trichomes like they are drier.

Ok, my setup:

3,7 x 3,7 x 6,7 tent, 315CFM phresh fan with 400CFM presh filter, thermoflo ducting, 3 small recirculating fans inside tent, I try to set the CFM's at 120-180 wich is the recommended, also the temps and humidity are kinda normal (I don't have thermometer, but inside the tent is fresh and cool, humidity is at line because no fancy smells etc.) 600HPS cool tube, biocanna line of nutrients (boost/flores).

I feel like the same thing is happening to those 2 twins, me in a way to try solve this, have tried almost everything, moved those plants, changed the fans, the speeds, the light, I think I've tried everything, also I gave them some food and they are like starting to pull more resin, at this point I think they can recover, but at a slower pace, I need 1 or 2 more weeks to tell if they will recover in full, but I thought I would share this think with other ppl.

I think some plants just will turn "shy" with the precense of other stronger plants? or too much moving air or wind tunnel? if there's something then why other plants are healthy? thanks in advance!
peace

What is your water source? well? city water?

A few years ago I was running the same clones for a while, I ran them many times with great results, one grow my water turned orange from rust unexpectedly, I accidentally used it on my plants, it totally ruined their resin. They still grew huge, yield was great, smell suffered and there was absolutely no resin. Now these strains grown right produced lots of resin.

Water quality is of utmost importance, I have seen my fair share of plant issues over the years, most often some sort of water malfunction has been the root cause.

From my own experience with poor water quality is not every plant will be affected, I can grow 10 plants with bad water, 70% will grow fine, 30% will be trash. Some strains are much more sensitive to poor water than others.

hi thanks yes city water, very bad water.
Its so bad, that years ago I decided to use only bottled water on my plants after watching leafs turn rust on the edges.

On those grows I have used this city water because mostly I forgot about it, but now I will change the water to bottled.

thanks!

yeah could be. Iam not sure if wrong phenos or wrong strains.

It happened with:

-RP Tanjie
-Paradise Jacky White
-Paradise Sensi Stars indica phenos

I didn't with:

-RP Kandy Kush
-Paradise Sensi Star sativish Pheno.

Yesterday I watered with clean bottled water and regular feeding. Also saw some overwatering and haven't watered since yesterday and today they were with more resin and vigorous.

The only way to know if this is genetics or your environment would be to run clones from the same mother. Sounds like you're running seeds?

yeah seeds. maybe lots of pheno variation on seeds.

The 2 that were a bit dry are now recovering good, the resinous is sticky, they are not that oily sticky like the helthiest from the group, but they are in a good path. The small Kush recovered and is frosty and resinous.

This after switching to good bottled water and feeding regular.

go to wally world and spend 10 bucks on a temp/hygrometer and let us know what the temps and the humidity's are day and night...

the tent could feel comfortable to you with the door open, but become an oven when you close the door

yeah that sounds good.

at night very cold. to the point I slow down the exhaust fan and close windows a bit. And at day yes is warmer, kinda low temps overall, but I have to crank the fan up because the 600HPS cooltube would get hot, and the sativish pheno of the sensi stars, stretched to 2m tall... this after feeding with Biocanna Bioboost and those crazy temp diferences. They have some burning scars because a day they stretched to unsafe distance.
