central air.. or mini splits

ok.. so we are setting up a 16000w grow.. 4 rooms.. 4000w each room.. looking into cooling.. I saw they have quad zone mini splits.. a 60,000 BTU. now what I'm wondering.. is.. it says 15btu per.. what I need to know is.. since 8000w will be on during the day.. and 8000w at night.. I don't need all 4 running at one time.. so what I'm thinking is.. do these things allow you to only run 2 on and 2 off and allow for all 30,000 btu;s to be directed into each room while they are on?

or with glass and air cooled hoods.. would I be able to run 15000 btu minisplit per room?

this is our last issue before we setup.. just got the electrical upgraded to a 200amp service from 100amp.. having the electrical ran this weekend. then our plumber is coming to put the pipes into areas we want so we can have 2 areas to fill res's

then hvac needs to come and then we will setup the lights and get growing..

butttttt in the mean time.. I'm trying to figure out how I can do this without buying 4 minisplits..

.. we could use window air conditioners if there was a way to smell proof them.. which I don't think there is..

also how are you guys exhausting air and not just exhausting all of your ac ?

especially with minisplits are u guys running sealed rooms.? or ?

any ideas and help would be greatly appreciated.. worse comes to worse we will have to go with a mini split in each room.. get co2 and just run a sealed setup.. and run temps a lil hotter than we could without Co2.....

you need to post the specs for your proposed system.

more than likely the system is a VRF unit with EEV's on a manifold that will control the flow of the refrigerant to each evaporator/cassette.

the size of this manifold is probably such that each cassette will be like 15 to 18kbtuh, but its possible that each cassette could handle something closer to 30kbtuh. again though post the specs.

there are also multi zone systems that do not use smart manifolds... these literally just split the flow of refrigerant through a tee, and the cassette itself is metering the flow with its own EEV.

the former system is ideal imo, and the latter system is better suited for a single room where the loads at each cassette will be the same, and each cassette will run off a single thermostat.

2x 3 ton mini splits with 4 head units.

sealed rooms, bare bulbs.

depending on your climate the 30000 may not cool a co2 burner and 8 non-ducted lights.
