Cell Phones used to eavesdrop

I notice the police are using confidential informants to keep their cell phones on speakerphone during a buy, or investigation... while the police mute their end of the phone. CI's can just keep their phone in their pocket or whatever.

Is there any device, or something that you can wear to make sure it intereferes with their phone so it will drop their call or mess up the signal..

I don't know a whole lot about this stuff but It'd be cool to discuss things like this and how to counter measure in general.

Hmm if you have CI's doing a buy on you then you're already fucked I'd have said.

Hardly; but obviously enough to try and close a case. That's what they use the CI for.. to make a final deal so they can have full evidence. Police try to get as much evidence as they can. Anything you can do to prevent them from getting too much evidence will help you get out of the situation before you realize 'ahh damn'.. or for them to have a solid case in court.

Just because a CI is 'trying' to make a buy off of someone, doesn't mean they are screwed. The police are just 'trying' to set something up to bust you. You have to prevent that. Once you realize that something is suspicious, then you will know to walk away and they have 'no final deal' to put you away. This is what this topic is all about; counter measurement

It's always good to be prepared.

Your own family or friends you've known forever will snitch you out before you know it; no matter how discreet and professional you are.

Cell phone jammers are the way to go. Yes, they are illegal in the states ostensibly because they can interfere with emergency communications. However you can purchase them online from overseas and some work better than others. You can get portable units that will jam signals from a phone depending on how close you are from the phone.Sitting inside a car with the phone should work. Try the unit from various distances using various phones to gauge the units effectiveness.

Did anyone see on fox news and cnn about 6-8 months ago that had the story about how the government had the ability to use the microphone on your phone to eavesdrop. Who knows if this is widespread, or if it was just a media scare tactic, but they were saying that you had litterally take the battery out of your phone to prevent it.

Yes, I've heard about this as well. They could plant a phone on the CI and do it this way. I'm not sure if door jamemrs or anything would turn a microphone off .

But the thing i'm talkin about is the cops actually call the CI's phone and the CI just keeps the phone connected on speakerphone. Quick and easy.

Does anyone know or think that those bug scanning devices would detect a cell phone microphone, if the phone is turned off? I beleive they can detect any type of microphone or listening device, but not sure.

Most likely not, it would have to be specifically made for such.

I 'm not sure ,but I doubt it. It seems to me that the phone would have to be turned on. I believe the same holds true for GPS tracking.

I shouldn't be causing any unnecessary attention so I suspect a shitty phone, but can anyone explain why my phone will make sounds like glitches (almost like a hang up) and play back? Sometimes I can hear myself perfectly talking 2-3 seconds after I've said my sentence but the other person is completely fine? I Don't know if this makes any difference at all but I have a pretty deep voice .. maybe it is a shitty mic?

I think you need a seperate thread for this, as to not to hijack this current thread.

You know, common curiousty.

If the pigs have a rat buying from you, you don't have to worry about jamming their cell phone. Try switching to something with less sativa...
