I think I read once that most CBDs reside in the plant's leaves. Is that true? And, do CBDs reside in male plants leaves in the same amount/concentration? I'm talking psychoactive cannabis as well as hemp.

Someone might correct me on this but I believe CBD is one of the 5 major cannabinoids found in cannabis. It is developed in the trichomes just like all the other cannabinoids and terpenes.

I don't believe there's much in the actual leaves beside chlorophyll.

Maybe hh's proposition is true to the extent that oil may be harvested, albeit in reduced quantities, from leaf and stem both male and female.

Cannabinoids are only in trichomes.
Trichomes can be on the leaves, not in the leaves.

But. I started a thread about a company that claims they genetically modified cannabis to produce water soluble CBD that would be found in the actual tissue of the plant and not only in the trichomes.

At the end of the veg stage the growing tips can be quite potent but don't appear to have any trichs at all.

It happens in a lot of plants.

Alkaloids are manufactured in the leaves, and then move to the flowers.

Same is true of opium poppies.

I've been wanting to try CBD, but the PRICES !!!

If I just eat a bunch of Cannabis leaves baked into a cookie, will I get mostly CBD ?

Cannabidiol (CBD) is a phytocannabinoid discovered in 1940. It is one of some 113 identified cannabinoids in cannabis plants and accounts for up to 40% of the plant's extract. In 2018, clinical research on cannabidiol included preliminary studies of anxiety, cognition, movement disorders, and pain.

Like pumpkin pie eye said....it's more concentrated in flowers, but prevalent in leaves, stalks and minutely in roots.

Male flowers has a bit less, but still has CBD, or thc of photoperiod/auto.

Psycho active cannabis has small amount of thc in leaves/stalks and root.
We just finished several CBD/hemp plant hybrids using genetics from USA, Australia, China and Germany. Eastern European hemp we grew Spring/early summer, we've gathered pollen for future projects. Spent plants are made into tinctures or capsules. Roots into balms, as well as leaves/stalks.
