I'm doing an micro grow inside. And I noticed my leaves started getting big holes in them. Well I looked around and I saw one yesterday. Well I looked today and have seen 2. How do I get rid of them?

You have caterpillars indoors? You can hand pick them off every time you see them, or

well you can do the following:

Organic ways:
Insecticidal soaps, neem, oil, and spinosad are the safest insecticides that can be used to control.. Soaps and neem are non-toxic and are great to use when you have a lot of pets and want to be friendly to nature and its animals. Spinosad works very very good in controlling the caterpillar population and is non toxic to wild-life, pets, and humans. It hardly has any impact at all on the plants.

I hand picked them off and got like 8 or 9 so far. There wasn't to much damage done. I just hope they don't keep spreading. :( I don't know how they got in my cab.

you probably have moths in your house. caterpillars are the stage before moths and butterflies, control those and you get rid of the caterpillars

the reason i say this is cause caterpillars are 90% of the time an outdoor problem, so you probably got moths in your house spreading their own seeds

Where might I come by this stuff? Also did I mention that my plants are almost 6 weeks into flower?
For the moth's I haven't seen one but maybe one got in my closet from the garage. But I will just have to keep checking. They are very small and brown. Some are green not all of them though. Most are brown. But if i find anymore I'll get a pic. Thanks for the info.

You don't want to spray your plants if you are close to harvest let alone with the buds growing on the plants, your going to have to hand pick them for now. Next grow you can control them or just wait....... you got a picture of these littler buggers? Just to make sure they are caterpillars?

I don't have a pic yet. But if I find another one I will post it. I'm positive they're caterpillars. They are no bigger then an inch and no smaller then a half inch. An got lil clams on there ass. For cutting the leaves.

A little info!

A little info!

BT is Bacillus thurengensius (or something close to that). Most folks just call it BT, for obvious reasons. It is available at any fair sized garden shop. It comes as a powder that you put on your plants. It contains a bacteria of an insect disease that paralyzes the gut of caterpillars. They die slowly from starvation. :muahaha: It is harmless to warm blooded creatures!

I'd try to keep it off the buds and just dust the leaves. I don't know what is in the "inert filler" that they use.- Granny

Yeah I know I looked for like an hour picking them off. There hard to find because they could be under leaves and I'm doing a scrog which is twice as hard to look at all the branches and stuff.
