carbon scrubers , do they work ?

Hi fallenangel,
Quite effective and cheap. This was from a thread over at OG. This is almost exactly what you would pay upwards of $175+ for at the hydro store. The only thing I'm missing is the fluffy air filter on the outside, which really isn't needed. I bought carbon off ebay, 25lbs, that's enough for two possibly three of these. I plan on making another and adding a T so the air can move even slower and have more time to be scrubbed. Final cost for two of these, $100.

carbon filters work great FA, i would highly reccomend picking one up, or building one like king there before the smell gets you in trouble .... especially if you live close to other people.

Properly designed, the carbon does not have to be packed too tightly together. The unit I built in my sig has been highly effective with only two carbon chenges a year.

Ah...another relevant thread at IC. Fallen Angel, you ask the question burning in my belly.....I have some huge superskunks who are starting to bud righteously and.......the landlord wants to know what the "sour" smell is......

yeah oder controll is a must ..so the verdict is they work .. thanks for all the info guys . i like the idea of having 2 , king . it might be overkill for what im going to do ,, but better safe than sorry

killer system .. how big is your grow space cap? you say that you only change your filters 2 times a year ? cool .. hell , my grow is only going to be 4 sq ft
