carbon scrubbers, can air be pushed through them?

a friend ive met on the chat said a fan could push air through the carbon scrubber and suck air from the hot light, instead of just sucking air thru a carbon scrubber. will this definatly work before i order it up ?

ur better off sucking through the filter but most filters can do it both ways, but if you clow through it its not using its cloth pre filter against dust so woll probably last not quite as long.
what ever you do dont buy an odor sok...they suck-and not in a good way lol

It would work. Basically, I believe, you would be drawing air from the room through the light(suck) and blowing it out through your carbon filter.

Ive got a coco growing book here and the guy says if you cant haing ur filter at the heighest point in ur room-fer whatever reason then hand ur duct thre, duct to a box with the fliter in and holes in the side to let it out or a duct spigot on the side to take it(the air) to the outside

I use a 8" 737 cfm can fan with Can Filter 66. The vent into the room comes from outside the room, sucks air thru 2 1000 watt lights. The filter and fan are in the attic, they suck the air thru the outside vent, then thru the lights, and then out thru the fan thenblows it thru the filter, this keeps smells down in and out of the grow room and keeps the lights cool also, duel purpose.


So in answer to your question yes it works and has for years
