Carbon Scrubber vs. CO2

I've been planning a sealed grow room injected (for lack of a better term) with CO2...I also want to use carbon scrubbers to minimize odor. Would the carbon scrubbers in any way reduce or filter out CO2 from the atmosphere? And if so, how effective would an ozone generator be? I really don't want to use ozone because I have had excellent results using carbon scrubbers and I heard ozone can be harmful. Any help is appreciated! :joint:

if you are totally sealing the room then the carbon scrubber is just going to sit within the room scrubbing the air within the room...Perfect. It will have no effect on Co2. OZone can be harmfull to plants if the PPM gets too high...ozone can be harmfull to you too if the levels reach a certain point. So you definately would NOT want an ozone generator to be in the room witht he plants. I know of lots of grower, including myself, that double bag it ( for lack of a better term) I use carbon, ozone, and a vaportek. :) I've got the carbon in the grow room, I've got the ozone in the garage next to the veg, and I've got the vaportek next to the flower room, incase any odors do escape. It is my backup odor control. :)

Odor control in my opinion, is the single most important part of this hobby...smells will get you caught easier than anything else...

just keep in mind that if you add co2 to your room..you will be raising your temps into the 80's to maximize consumption. Once you hit 80 degrees co2 scrubbers are far less effective. I use a spare bedroom as my flower room...I sealed a 12x8x8 area inside the bedroom with pandaplastic, now my scrubber sits right outside the sealed area in cooler temps where it is able to work very efficiently at scrubbing the air of my whole house. peace DLB :joint:

80degF for a scrubber isn't what kills it, it's the relative humidity, keep it under 60% and it'll filter odors just fine. In fact I've seen rooms at 85degF ~40%RH and the carbon scrubber worked perfectly

Thanks for the input! So there is no problem running the two in parallel AND I could keep the temps a little higher for the CO2 making it easier to control temps? Sounds like the sealed room is the way to go to maximize yield and keep the grow safe(security wise). I like the idea of keeping an ozone generator outside of the room just to make sure...
