Assuming that the inline fan isn't attatched to any house ventilation and is simply blowing into the growroom:

Which Method is better for cleaning odor? A or B?

Which Method is Louder?

once my girls start smelling, I'll be trying both intake & exhaust out to try to figure this out. in the mean time, if you're currently flowering, give it a shot and cast a vote. Or just be lazy and cast a vote without trying both. :bat: lol. After all, we all love efficiency... right? :yummy:

I think I read somewhere that it puts less stress on your fan if you pull from the carbon filter. I have seen numerous threads on here with people doing it both ways. Just whichever works better in their situation. I personally pull from the scrubber with the fan rather than push into it.

On the unban grower they show a sealed grow room with a carbon filter blowing air into the filter. They say there's no smell at all.I agree with johnny chimpo,it works both ways.I think it all in the applicant that you need, pulling in air or pushing air.In the closet I have a 400 watt HPS with a econo cool shade,I pull the air from the closet through the cool shade and out into the attic. That droped the heat down alot.I also have a ac vent in there too.It stays around 72---79 degrees. Well thats my take on it! Peace

Do what ever is most stealth. In my case I have two 4' scrubbers ontop of my cab and I use them for my 2 stanley blowers and to keep the noise down. Acts as a muffler too. Thats all that matters to me is keeping it stealth. Who cares if down the road you have to replace a blower, you will just be getting something newer and better. Plus why would you want to pull all those carbon dust particles through the blower motor? :sasmokin:

A all the way. The B setup causes "back pressure", thus reducing the total air output. This means that A will also clean more air sinse "more air moved means more air cleaned". B will also be louder sinse the air is hitting the walls of the carbon filter.

However, alot cabinet growers have no choice but to choose B becuase they have no space to put the fillter in their cabinet. Thus, they cant choose A and cant use the filter as an intake.
