carbon monoxide readers to determine co2?

well we all know the price of co2 controll equipment is not cheap,so perusing the costco aisles i came upon a carbon monoxide detector that gives a percentage reading so for all you science buffs is there a formula for nat/prop
gas to determine the amount of co2 present from the amount of carbon monoxide itself or with the amount known of nat/prop gas burned in a given time plus space?

Danger Will Robinson .
I applaude your McGiver thinking but I think you will die if you burn propane till it resisters on a CO monitor .
I use that CO monitor to baby sit my co2 gen .I like it because it tells me if level goes up when burner comes on.
Sorry but I think the only way to do itis a 400$ controler .I would read up on the cap 3 controllers ther cheap but people have trouble with them sticking on ......ouch CO alarm might go off then

i tend to try to leave the pilot light on and not run burner on cd-3 though i have no idea ppm of c02 my shed is around 330 sq feet so figuring pilot light on a cd-3 is equivalent 750 btu an hour, coupled with running cd-3 with burner would enrich that small of space to 1500 ppm in minutes.had a borg problem so everything is outside while i disinfect.

there are some kits you can get at the growshop for like 15 bucks. Its a big syringe and you fill it with the air in yer room and blow it into this thing and it gives out a reading.Never used one but suppose3dly they work.

They work great but costs 5 bucks apieceThey are made by rae systems. Its cheaper to buy a 10 pak.You also need the huge syringe the looks like it was made for a strung out Paul Bunyon.Mine is made by control wizard. They are accurate, completely accurate but you have to take a full two minutes to push the air slowly through the cartridge.
