Carbon Filter with or without Air Cooled Hoods

I have a question a buddy and I are coming head to head on....... 4 air cooled hoods, 10 x 10 room, Phresh 950CFM filter with Hyperfan 1065CFM.

OPTION 1:
Through research I have seen it connected at the end of the chain of hoods, this worries me due to the glass not being completely sealed and odors could be sucked through this point, of course this can be circumvented with some proper sealing.

OPTION 2:
Carbon Filter and Fan mounted at the top of the room pulling air and exhausting, no exhaust on the hoods, glass removed.

Which would be a better setup?

If they are 8" hoods ,, I would link them up to scrubber.. or get another fan and run lights separate.

I wwouldn't go bare bulb unless u have some good a.c

And if u hook the scrubber to fan and push thru lights u don't have to worry about smells leaking thru or anything,, peace

Well, if it were me,, since they are 6", and u have a/c in lung room.. I would go bare for now..
U never want to link more than 2 or 3,, 6" hoods together.. they just get too hot..
Eventually u want to upgrade to 8" hoods.. run them separate from scrubber, that's where u will get best results... it all depends on the room tho.. I think u will b fine for a while.. I myself think air cooled is better than bare, but it's only when u run them properly.. if your on a budget,, rock em bare with ur passive intake,, and scrub your exhaust like your plan b.. peace

If your lights are lined up end to end, you can use a large straight duct pipe cut w/ Ts added to run to each lamp. Exhaust to another pipe. Or you can build boxes. Good luck. -granger
