Hi, first timer here and I'm hoping for a little help.

I have a 6in 435 cfm fan air cooling my 400w hps inside my 3x3x5 tent. It is time for a filter but I dont know how big or small it should be. I've seen some 4x12 and 4x18in filters on ebay for cheap but is that to small for my fan or space? Any help would be great. thanks

I just picked up a can 50 for my 6in. works great... no smell at all. I didn't really need one (since i'm legal), but did it so i didn't get riped off from some low lifes. I tried all the cheaper options and never worked that good. you can also go with the can 66, its a little longer but not as thick. 31 pounds of carbon vs. the can 50 that has 42. Don't go cheap if your not legal.

The DIY linked above works great!!! If you still want to buy, you don't match physical dimensions, you match CFM ratings with the Filter being the larger number. If the fan is "larger" the filter will fail sooner, if not immediately. In your case a 450-500 CFM filter would be great.
