Don't worry about the 1" thick carbon bed.

K1llakrOn.....how big is your grow space(cubic feet ie; L x W x H)?

Also what size exhuast fan (4" 6" 8" 10")?

Many people from OG used that very same DIY carbon filter and they work wonders, all you have to do is make sure your fan isn't too powerful (just oversize the filter if it is).

well my fan is extra powerful...LOL...400 cfm vortex 6" model...my grow space will be about 7.5 sq.ft... I am going to get a speed controller so we'll see...and...I can always run ducting from the scrubber to the fan to slow down the air for maximum "scrubbage" and is anyone gonna answer the question I asked?

If it is a SIS Pro DIY Carbon Filter then it will take about 4 pounds of the activated carbon.SIS's was only 4" shorter than yours but still had a 6" core 8" outside.

Four pounds...no more no less.

Don't listen about the can filter as they use a 2"-2.5" thick bed of carbon and all yours can handle is a 1" thick bed.

no worries, we are all trying to help. (but only I am right :D :D :D)

a 1 inch layer is implied by the measurments given.

you need to get 5 1.87 liter jars or 8.6 liters killa

just curious but how is mine different as mine is 10 inch outside and 8 inside . not understanding , not trying to argue.

well then it's got a 1 inch layer and jnugg must be mistaken

plus i think that weight isn't a good way to measure it because I assume some grades of activated carbon are denser than others.
