Carbon Filter & Fan Query

Hi all,

Quick question....

If you ran your fan/filter combo on a 15mins on 15mins timer off do you think this would be sufficient to clean the air when flowering???

FYI - RVK100 fan with carbon filter attached. Space 75cm x 75cm x 100cm.

That will work great. Assuming you want the house to stink of weed 24/7. If you want the house to smell clean all day, run the filter all day.

The only air cleaners I've used that work well on an on/off setup would be ozone, and that's only if you've got a unit that's oversized and you have to regulate output somehow.

i ran exactly what you are asking at one time becuase i was concerned about noise of the fan being on 24/7 (turned out to be a non-issue) and the entire place stunk. you gotta run it 24/7. its actually less obvious when the damn thing is running all the time than when it kicks on at regular intervals. easier on the fan motor i imagine too

Turning off the fan does not turn off air exchange.It simply prevents air exchange through the filter. Because air is blocked through the filter, it exits via the intakes. Once that smell is out of the cab, it's out of the cab and all the filtering in the cab is useless.
