carbon disposal

whats the best way to unload 100lbs of used carbon from a canfilter? i dont count illegal dumpster, and certainly not dumping in the bush somewhere... i only break one law at a time

well one time I had bunch of small rocks to get rid of. Took me a couple months but I dumped some each week in each garbage bag that went curbside.

Put small amounts in every week

Wait for bulk garbage and put it out

put in several bags

Take to dump

all legal

Perhaps burn it in your fireplace in winter?

Just dump it out, drive it to another dumpster if your so worried. If they're already looking for you then they will catch you, otherwise no one will notice.

thanks for the ideas..."they" are not looking for me, but if "they" see me dumping illegally they might become curious.
theres no curbside garbage pick-up where i live, landfill is very $$$.
burn it? hmmm, maybe ill try that
those are some good ideas, but i guess im looking for something more creative. is it recyclable?

It can be heated in an oven (OUTSIDE cause it will smell)
Heat it to 375-400 degrees and hold that temp for two hours....allow to cool and re-use as needed...all organic compounds other than carbon will be gone

FILTER COMPANYS WON'T TELL YOU THIS.......cuz they sell carbon

thanks doc. something creative! however i just want to get rid of it, theres 100lbs and i got another filter coming to the end of its life soon too. thing is, i got a vaportek optimum 4000 now... i wont be needing to filter!

i hope the darkstar research center is coming up with some good stuff, maybe a way to bring jerry back (im sure there will be world peace if we can acheive that)

Take it in contractor bags (very large heavy garbage bags) to the dump and pay for it's disposal. There's nothing *too* suspicious about it if they rip open.

I totally agree that illegal dumping leads to trouble with something simple like charcoal. Pot leaf maybe can go to the woods or something.
