car issues

so today i was driving along the highway and all of a sudden the car infront of me slams on their breaks so i slam on my breaks and barely miss the car infront of me...

but then this brand new nissan shit behind me doesnt slam on his breaks fast enough so he swerves out of the way and smashes into the corner of my car.. his car was probably totaled but my car only has a dent that i can probably fix..

anyways this is probably gonna cost me thousands of dollars in insurance increases even though it was his fault. its funny because it was a traffic jam for like 20 minutes and all of a sudden the pace was like 60 mph and there was a huge space behind me so he was all like "im free" and he went as fast as he could :badday:

Just don't put a claim in for your car if you can fix it yourself out of pocket.

Even though they shouldn't raise your premiums for something that wasn't your fault. If there is a claim against your policy, they're gonna get their money back from you one way or another.

yeah I did some dumb ass thing during the snow day here in December, backed up in the gas station with my rear hatch window full of snow and smashed into the bumper of this old toyota and scratched up his bumper, he didn't care about that and was nice. I fked up my rear fender though and the rear fender is welded on so not replaceable.

I'm going to pay out of my pocket, it will probably cost me about 1000 to get the dent out and paint etc. Not even sure if a body shop can do a good job on it, as it's a tricky areas on the rear fender

almost made me cry when I saw the damage. It was just very slow backing up and only scraches on the guys bumper.

In a lot of states if youre hit from behind its automatically the fault of dude behind you.

Yeah, but a lot of auto companies it doesn't matter who's fault it is your insurance still goes up. About two years ago now I was going about 50 or 55 on an old back road, I was keeping pace when traffic when all of a sudden a pickup truck lugging a uhaul makes an abrupt left turn off the road. The line of traffic slams to a hault but the stupid lady behind me didn't even get her breaks on. I

n the end it turns out she didn't have insurance, so my auto insurance had to sue her and in the end I still lost money...ridiculous. Worst part about it though was I was moderately high, had bud on me, and a cop pulls up not 30 seconds later. Saw the whole thing.

Well, she didnt slam into you because you were high :)

I imagine she slammed into you because she was a female driver (and all that implies)

that's my car not his lol and yes it is snowing in the picture.

i thought u had a porshe? (or is that a porshe?...cant tell from the pic???) is this the same car you were spraying paintstripper on the inside?

you could fix that damage yourself....if you pay an autobody place to do it your a stupid fuck...even more stupid if you put in an insurance claim for it.

It's a front engine 944 not a 911. Lol no way I'm going to try and do body work on the car myself a professional will do a much better job. If it was a beater I would do it myself but I've spent a lot of money on the car.

I'm not putting in an insurance claim.

It'll need to be hammered out and i t will require a bit of bondo / paint.
