Well I'm sure you probably watched and if not you've heard it reported but everything went like clockwork and Captain Kirk returned to earth with a mind bending life altering revelation of the fragility of life (within the atmosphere) how quickly the veil can be pierced (passing thru the atmosphere) and the immense vastness of death (Space).
