cant upload pics

File size are small 100kb and im getting this error message
have tried several times today with no luck

/data/web/icmag/icmag.com/www/gallery/uploads/1544: Error creating directory (check permissions).

are you trying upload them to old galleries? those are closed. create a new album and upload there.

I can not figure out how to "upload". I am in new album but am lost as how to get pics from my Mac "iPhoto" application to the icmag page. Any help would be appreciated.
