Have any pest chemicals been used? If so what and when? none.. hot shot no pest strip in the room
Are plant's infected with pest's? no

The bigger plants have been in the 1gallon pots going on 3 weeks(this friday).. first friday I didnt water because I transplanted into a medium that was already moist. Second Friday I fed with a ewc, molasses & liquid karma tea and it perked them right up and they seemed to love it. This past friday I fed with just a fish fertilizer tea. As of now, I water them every Friday. The pots still feel "heavy" and I dont think it's a underwatering issue. I dont see them already outgrowing these pots either(correct me if I'm wrong). What Im wondering, if underfeeding would cause plants to droop like this.. there is guanos and other stuff mixed in with the soil.

As you can see a the majority of the big ones are drooping very badly, but the one blue cheese appears fine. They all got about the same amount of water at the same time as well.

Also there are some random yellow spots and yellowing tips.

I think biggest factor is poor drainage/no air for roots/ hence it being heavy---> What soil/mixture is this? those seedlings def. look like they have bad drainage and under watered.
Side factors: possibly getting rootbound ...need to transplant. May need more water, but only with better drainage.
Don't overfeed it please for the love of god...also why are you ignoring PH questions? You bubble your water to neutral but what is the point if your medium drops/ups it 2 points? find out your PH before you add anything.

I would transplant into a quality 'airy' medium 40-50% perlite...and water...should recover soon. Once it recovers being to slowly feed again...unless your new medium has stuff in it already.

LC’s Soiless Mix #1:
5 parts Canadian Spaghnam Peat or Coir or Pro-Moss
3 parts perlite
2 parts wormcastings or mushroom compost or home made compost
Powdered (NOT PELLETIZED) dolomite lime @ 2 tablespoons per gallon or 1 cup per cubic foot of the soiless mix.
...Wal-Mart now sells worm castings

..........

added in a premix with this recipe(roots organics mix). already had perlite in it, I added 3 parts chunky perlite into the total medium. I couldnt imagine having more perlite in the medium.

the small seedings do not have the chunky perlite in them, but do have regular perlite. The seedlings medium is pure roots organics mix nothing else added. They have 6-7 decent sized holes(1/8 inch perhaps) drilled in the bottom of the cups & when watered they seem to drain fine.

i was under the impression that with organics.. you dont have to worry much about ph. last time I checked it on litmus paper it was right around 6.5-6.8.

the droopy plants are around 9inches tall, would they have outgrown a 1gallon pot already? The blue cheese seems to be doing fine and it's under the same conditions as the other plants(same mix, same water, etc..).

thanks for the info!

Roots Organics Soil Mix info;

It is also great to use as a soil additive or amendment to revitalize
and improve structure of garden soil. Its recipe enables better
drainage and encourages a vigorous root structure. Created with
only fine natural and organic ingredients: coco fiber, peat moss,
perlite, pumice, premium worm castings, bat guano, kelp, fish
bone meal, soy bean meal and much more. Aurora Innovations
has spared no expense in designing the ideal soil for rapid
growing plants. 0.75 and 1.5 Cubic Ft Bags

seems I cant edit my posts... but umm, I just watered the plant in the first picture... runoff ph on litmus paper was 6.0(thats after it soaked and water more and drained). too low of ph, or should I not trust the paper?

I guess we'll see in the morning how the water did, either good or very bad.. hopefully good.

I don't think a pH of 6.0 should be a problem. I shoot for 5.8-6.3 in soil. I would concur that you have some sort of watering issue. The plant(s) in your first two pictures look underwatered to me but it is difficult to tell without feeling the soil. Are you sure the soil is really "heavy"? I'm having trouble understanding which of the two soil mixes you are using (LC's or Organic Roots) but both seem to have decent drainage. The slight rust in your pictures could be a lot of things but it doesn't really seem to be anything to worry about compared to the drooping. It could be burn or nutrient lock-out due to pH issues but I haven't really read all your info on nutes so don't take my word for it.

if the roots are really taking over that pot then the soil and plant will dry out almost daily.. there for they are indeed underwatered.hink they should get some water atleast every other day for good measure

Kinder is so right. Do those little cups have holes in the bottom? If so how many and how big? I would transplant them, then put some bat guano or something else time release in the medium. Give them another week or so and they should recover nicely

I feel like a numb nut. I watered the plant in the first picture last night and it's perked up a little this morning. I had over watering issues in the beginning of these plants lives and kinda playin the safe side. I went ahead and watered the others this morning.

I guess as the plants grow its going to be hard to 'overwater' them since they will probably be drinking lots of water. I'll keep my eye on them.

as for the dixie cups, there is about 6-7 1/8in holes in the bottom of each. They will also get some water either tonight or tomorrow. And they are getting ready for a transplant as well.

I'd still like to know what the yellowing tips indicate, I couldnt find anything in the sick plants guide.

the mix I'm using is LC's mix BUT mixed in with roots organics stuff(for the guanos, etc..) and will get a feeding a guano & kelp tea every so often.

thanks for the info guys, just another noob mistake for indoor growing. :wallbash:

congrats mr mort...but I don't think they were under watered due to you lacking to water them in appropriate times. Now that I look at them, or at least the one that is 9 inches I think she gets under watered cause she is getting rootbound...and sucking up everything you put in...if anything gently take her out and see what you can find maybe even snap a pic of it... 3+ weeks and 9+ inches are about time to up the one gallon, and yes when healthy plants get going 3 weeks is about the sweet spot to hit them up for a transplant from the 1 gallons...

transferring from those cups to the 1 gallons are going to need transplanting the fastest, I have found, I do the exact same thing. cups--->1 gallons---->4 gallons. Notice the smallest amount of added room comes in the second transplant.

When you transplant add some lime in there. 6.0 is fine but I like a perfect neutral 7.0 throughout veg and 6.5 in flower...I just think 6.0 is to low for veg because PH tends to decrease throughout the whole process so while its fine now you might end up with 5.0 in flower from the salt build up and what not, and that is def not good...but if you can keep it at 60.-6.5 you'll be good it'll just be more work to stabilize ph later in flower...

Also I still think if your soil feels heavy even when dry there should be a bit more airation...a 1 gallon when dried up feels very very light to me...

my two cents...

i'll check em out tonight when lights are on. I already have some dolomite added into the mix(the current & what they will be transplanted into).. should I add more?? unfortunatly I dont have any more 1 gallon pots so Im going to have to go buy some or maybe a local nursery will hook me up with some throw aways. we'll see! thanks fellow ICer's!
