Can't find messages?

This seems funny, but several people have messaged me or I've sent a message to someone, and Idk how to find them???

Like, I respond to the message and I can see and interact with the thread, but after I close the window I don't know how to find it again.

Go to the envelope next to the bell in the upper right-hand corner and click it. When it opens you will see all the messages from your friends. Click the one you want to open. Start typing.

That only shows my old messages. The more recent ones aren't there. Maybe they're different kinds of messages?

If you have a message and it's not today's it is considered old. Go to the people you were communicating with and ask them to send you an old message and see what happens. We need to figure this out for you and anyone else that has a problem.

I know, i feel really dumb asking lol.

I'm gonna ask someone to resend a message and very carefully ascertain where to find them again.

Can you try clicking on 'Show all' under the conversation list? It should take you then to a page with all your conversations.

That does take me to all of my old conversations, but the 5-6 messages that I received in the last week aren't there. I think they're a different format/kind of communication?

When I was veiwing them they appeared in a vertical list of the senders' names. I've only gotten there by clicking the notification link when i have a message.

Are there several different kinds of messages or chats?

That's from the forum Chat. More specific this is a private chat conversation and not a PM.

Go to the Chat module and then click on Private Conversation, you should then get an overview of your Private Chat conversations.
