Maniville I hope we have someone that has more experiance than I, someone who can help you with this. I moved your thread to our Photography Forum where I think it will have a better chance of getting that for you. Good luck, I'll be lurking..DD

I have this camera, for best results you have to use the manual focus located on the side of the lens, you need to be right on top of what you are macroing, and its best done in sunlight. There isn't a "real" macro lens for this camera but plenty of adapters, one of which I think you have.

It was an awesome camera in its day but its pretty dated now a days. It can still take some good nug shots but don't expect any miracles with capturing trichomes.

Hope this helps, let me know if you have issues. Also check out the custom firmware (CHDK). Free, won't mess up camera, all data is stored on SD card. Lots of features added with that modified firmware.

The manual focus button you hold down while using the "up/down" buttons on the dpad to adjust the macro.

The firmware doesn't void your warranty, you must however follow the instructions on that site to install. You will need to basically copy some files that you download to your SD card. It does no damage to your camera as it runs on top of the stock firmware. It adds quite a lot of features actually.

The macros in your album are actually quite good for that camera, the zoom trichome picture is actually a great macro.

Hope this helps :)

It should be noted I was really blazed when I wrote this.
