Uh-oh, she's at it again

Welcome to the CannaChronicles and Blue's Lounge

For the pleasure of the weary and jaded stoner Blue is offering a lineup guaranteed to entice and please.

What's on the Menu?

- Mango - 4 plants
- Master Kush - 1 plant
- Puna Budder - 1 plant
- Legends Ultimate Indica - 1 germed, waiting on another
- Chocolate Chunk - two germed, waiting on one more

Please note that due to timing problems I won't be testing out Swan Song Seeds Sour Cali by zeppelindood this time round, but they are reserved for the next grow - thanks zep

The above menu will possibly be enlarged to include one or more other strains as work is still in progress and beans are still germing (I hope )

Mango - comes from Gypsy's private seed stash, here's the description he gave me for them:
....these 'Mango' seeds were made by a breeder called Paul.....he says that they are a 50% sativa....25% Northern Light and 25% Skunk......sounds interesting.....they have been in my seed stash for about a year.....but I have not had the chance to grow them out just yet......

Master Kush - from Dutch Passion, I had one seed left and decided to throw it in, maybe this time I'll get a female? :chin:

Puna Budder - from TH Seeds, bought at their store in A'Dam by a friend. Puna Budder deserves a few notes. These are extremely tough to germ, and often result in mutant or weak seedlings which just don't make it to maturity. I have found only one thread in that enormous and comprehensive sea of weed knowledge called OG, and it was only one page long. No smoke reports, no grow start to finish...and many posts here and there complaining about Puna Budder's bad germination rate and sickly offspring. I tired these a couple of grows ago, planted three seeds, only one germed, the seedling died after two days. This time round I put into practice every little tidbit of germination knowledge available to me, along with the purchase of a costly bottle of superthrive to give them a boost. I put 7 seeds to germ...one kicked out a nice fat taproot after 48 hours...and I'm saying daily hosannas and doing some serious macumba in the hopes I'll get at least another of these to pop, but its looking pretty grim and I ain't holding my breath

Legends Ultimate Indica - put the only two seeds I had to germ day before yesterday, this morning one had kicked out the taproot, and this evening probably will be placed in the jiffy...still waiting on the other :joint:

Please note that the pics above were all taken at lights on, the seedlings are not as pale as they look

Work in Progress...you're invited to make yourself at home in the lounge in the meantime, bong hits and refreshments are at your disposal

News and progress reports will be forthcoming

plenty of salt for you Elvis

I still have room for 3 more plants once the LUI goes into her jiffy...whatever makes it to the light of day first is gonna get thrown in with the others....got a couple of interesting strains trying to get popping but I don't want to say what they are until/unless I do get them germed

That's cool. My chair is pulled up. Best of luck. Fingers crossed for females. :canabis:

I think I'm due some females this time round :D. I'm easing them into 18/6...giving them 4 days at 12/12 then adding an hour a day of light until the 10th day when they'll start getting straight 18/6 until flower. I read on Rellik's thread that some guru says 12/12 at seedling stage will boost female ratios...doesn't hurt to try

More females for you this time around Blue! :joint:
Ill be sending good vibes your way~
All the best as always

thanks Leeroy ...send me some vibes for those Puna Budders too...damn faulty seeds :D

Yeah didn't know Puna Budder was hard to germinate. I stopped by Hempworks last year and picked up SAGE and Kusage and all twenty germinated and grew fine. I will speak with Adam maybe he will have some insight on the poor rates of survival. I will try to send some vibes across the pond to you blue. Hope to see you at 420 Jubei

All the best for your grow Blue...great menu you got there. I hope those Puna Budder's make it....

Thanks guys...if I don't get another Puna to germ I'm gonna pray:

a) that this one grows nice and healthy
b) that its female
c) that its an awesome female
d) that Puna Budder is awesome weed
e) that if all of the above are true I can get a friend to keep a mother plant for me

I don't usually take clones from plants, I don't particularly enjoy growing out clones, but this one is gonna have some cuttings taken I think...got me pissed off  :biglaugh:

Wow...you got a puna budder to pop....that's so cool. If it turns male maybe you can place under flos in a separate room and collect the pollen for crossing to a select female for a future grow?? I know someone who is growing a puna strain of some kind....I'll ask him if it's related and other details.

Greetings Blue! I trust there's room for me in the lounge as well. I've brought bubbles, let's open a bottle and toast your new grow! Mmm, a '95 Drappier, delicious. And here's to your little Puna Budder, I've got high hopes for her. Puna, love it there. One of the wettest places on Earth. It has a wild energy, which the weed shares. Intense tropical sativas.

Best of luck!

Oh well....his "puna buddah" is from the island itself, 20 year old clone, starting to lose a little vigor but still retains massive crystal and great high.
He doesn't know if it's the same strain or related but he's going to cross it with another to regain vigor........which doesn't help you one bit does it? Oh well Blue, good luck with your grow!

GMB thanks very much for your interest and your help. If its a male...well...I might collect pollen, but I really wanted to avoid making a cross. My idea (if I had gotten two to germ, male and female...I know asking way too much ) was to try making some F2's in the hopes the resulting seeds would be more viable. The only thing I might consider crossing the Puna Budder to is another Hawaiian strain.

Rolando welcome...I know you are a connoisseur of Hawaiian genetics, as am I...I'd give Elvis' left nut  to get my hands on some Kona Gold beans :biglaugh: :biglaugh: :biglaugh: :biglaugh: :biglaugh:
All I can do is hope this Puna Budder baby is a lady that kicks ass (provided she even grows...she's looking nice and healthy but just sits there, while the others are getting bigger). Thanks for the luck

TH Seeds will be hearing from me, at the very least I want them to tell me that the strain is a bitch, and explain why they released it this way. If they state this isn't true or is true for a particular batch (which can happen) I would expect them to replace my seeds, given that I am no newbie and am perfectly capable of germinating seeds and growing my seedlings to maturity. 1 plant out of 10 seeds, 3 seeds germed out of 10, 1 of these three mutated, 2 of these three dead after two days....not good at all. :cuss:

Have a nice day people!

(she pulls up the leather recliner...cracks open a smirnoff green apple...digs into a plate of shrimp linguini...) I'm ready for the movie to start blue...

I'm terribly sorry, but I had to give that nut up for other reasons. I'll loan you my right nut but you have to promise to give it back. Otherwise my voice will remain two octaves too high.

ROTFLMAO :biglaugh: :biglaugh: :biglaugh: :biglaugh:

Elvis how generous of you, the right nut will do, and I'll be sure to return it. My plan is to tie some invisible fishing line around it and once my seeds are handed over, the person in question will receive the nut, put it in his pocket and walk away, but I'll be holding on to the other end of the fishing line  he'll never know where the missing nut landed :biglaugh:
Far from me to deprive you of your right nut LOL....and your missus may have some objection also

Ms. H you are most welcome here, its nice to have a lady around, and in the brief time you've been on these boards I have much appreciated your positive contribution in various forums. Can I have your recipe for shrimp linguine? You can post it here  and I'll exchange it with a recipe of your choice....Italian cuisine if you like it

Farmer John nice to have you stop by and thanks for the encouragement

Try not to bounce it around too much. Those things are a bit sensitive.
