Cannabutter... Dried or fresh bud?

Hi,

Is it better to used dried or fresh bud? Obviously for smoking dried is necessary, but I could see how using fresh bud might be good cuz less dried/disintegrating plant matter would end up in the butter. Or maybe dried is better because less chlorophyl taste will transfer to the bud.. Who knows..

Anyway, some input on this would be nice...

I would use dried to let the THCA convert to THC.. however, I have made butter out of wet product and it did work.. I just think the strength is better when dried.. And, as you said, it would prob taste more chloraphilly if wet..
